Don’t mind him or his different way of dong things, but how he handled his 72’nd hole blow up on the Euro Tour was not right.
Under the intense pressure of a RC will he implode again? Not sure but I wouldn’t fancy playing him if I was a Euro players, he’s known as a bit of a slow player

Crikey that US Ryder Cup team looks so strong. Going to be tricky!
I fear we're in for a bit of a humping.

I don't think Bjorn was a great choice. Not a particularly popular guy, I don't think.

Judging by the size of him these days he won't be a popular figure at the breakfast bar.

Surely he must pick Cabrera Bello?

Apparently not. What an unadventurous selection. All old 'stars', no thrusting young tyros given a chance.

I'd say it was a decent selection. We've already got five rookies in the automatic eight, have to have a little experience. The four captain's picks will not let our side down....

Accuracy is vital on that course. Some lads from my club went round there earlier this year and came back shell-shocked, not to mention several dozen balls poorer.

I disagree. Garcia has played woeful this summer and despite his experience I think he'll perform poorly.

Cabrera Bello broke the record for points scored by a rookie last time, didn't he?

He must be wondering what you've got to do to get picked (beyond qualify by right!).

Maybe if he was more of an ahole, he could have had Sergio's spot?

One thing that winds me up about Ryder Cup journalism is their focus on how many RC points a player has scored. Well, that's a useless figure without also telling me how many points they have lost.

Winning 10 points is great, if it's out of 12. If you've won 10 points out of 30, then you've done more harm than good and we'd rather you weren't in the team.

I am feeling quite negative about the RC this time round. I wonder what odds I will get on it being won in two days!

Old pals' act, looks like. Cabrera Bello was made for that course.

Casey and Poulter I understand - both have played some good stuff this year, and will add experience to the team.

Garcia just smacks of old boys club... TB's reasons for including him sound like he's there for moral. He could have picked him as a vice captain for that.

Same as the 2010 in that case, we went down for a game about a month ago, and my swing was a little off. I can no longer look at a water hazard without wincing.

4 of us went down, me off 9, two off 6 and another off 2, formerly scratch. We had a kitty - £5 per birdie and £10 per Eagle, and nobody even won a fiver...

Back to this year, I can see why he's gone with experience with the number of rookies who qualified, but I'm really not sure about Sergio. If anyone can raise his game its him, and he did well in the French Open earlier in the year, but is his mind on golf any more? Think it's a risk with him and Henrik and his injury problems, would have gone with Stenson and one of Knox and Rafa personally.

I wouldn't have taken Stenson or Garcia, personally.

Rafa would have got the nod, and Knox is a good shout.

Just seen this on another forum - Top 30 Ryder Cup Players of all time:

A lot of blue there, and 5 of them are going to Paris. Add in the fact this is the highest rated European Team ever according to the OWGR, I'm starting to fancy our chances....

As an aside I didn't realise just how successful Poults was - the guy is a machine!

No one seems to have commented on Tiger Woods extremely poor Ryder Cup record. In seven Ryder Cups he has played 33 matches and won but 13 and lost 17.

Really not impressed with picking Sergio. I know his form has picked up a little, but he’s been mostly garbage since his Masters win.

I’d have picked Matt Wallace or Russell Knox. In fact I feel sorry for Knox. He’s been solid for a while now but I don’t think he ever had a hope of a pick.

Hell, Westy would have been a better pick than Garcia. He’s just had a belter in Denmark. Only lost in a playoff to Wallace.

No. Pieters did. He was 3-1-0 as a pair and won his singles.
