Fabulous golf course.

Haven't played it for a while though. Last time was a few weeks before the WGC was held there, and they'd narrowed the fairways and grown the rough - waist high in places. It was a nightmare for those having a bad day off the tee. The greens were perfect.

Superb news - Rosey is a class act.

A shame he couldn't get the win yesterday but despite the fact I don't like Bradley as a golfer, I'm glad he won as he has had a tough time in recent years.

Horrible player to watch though!! hehe
Really? I love his languid swing.
I think Rosscow is referring to Keegan.

Does he still have that annoying stepping up to the ball and backing off routine or has he cured it? Also is he still gobbling when he thinks the camera isn't on him?

I cant remember how many cuts he didn't make after turning Pro but it was a lot and I think that actually helped him to have the career he has . This lad has worked so hard yo get to No1 and seems a genuine guy .
He missed his first 20 cuts.

He’s pure class.

Ah sorry yes. Went right off Keegan when he had that standup row with Jiminez, who is one of my heroes.

Yes, talking about Keegan!

Horrible looking posture, bloody annoying habits and always seem very slow. Must be frustrating to play with.

Rose is just class - a slight man crush of mine!

The handshake at the end of the playoff didn't look that warm.

Interesting how the key elements of Tiger's game seem to be back at their peak values again. The only bit missing is him getting them all to fire together on the same round. Many would say that he's earned public redemption now and will be rooting for him to do that but I'm also hoping he doesn't do it in the RC!
Meanwhile, at a slightly lower level laugh the Thursday afternoon game is approaching, time to try out my new 'magic bullet' swing. Oh dear.

I remember that astonishing period of time when he dominated, where he rarely ever missed a put under 6ft. I'd like to see him win again, but If he ever got that putting groove back, heaven help his competitors.

Absolutely, seems to me he's over thinking it, reading too much break into short putts etc. When you get the camera angles behind the ball he seems to be hitting his lines just fine, it's just the wrong line.

Since he's come back he's been playing some superb golf - he is Number 1 in Shots Gained for Approach, which I can believe as his iron play has been the best I've ever seen it, and his short game is back to his best. If he gets the Driver and Putter working for 4 days he'll run away with whichever tournament that happens in.

Let's just hope that's in the Masters next year and not in Paris smile

But still, from where he was this time last year, I don't think anyone could have predicted we would be having this discussion, or see him teeing it up and East Lake next week. Fair play to the guy - as you say, I think he's earned redemption.

What is the current status for Jordan Spieth? He missed getting into the top 30 for East Lake which means that he did not make the minimum no. of tournaments to be played in a year (25) to maintain his PGA Tour Card (as I understand it).

I understand that he may have to pay a penalty and possibly face suspension - what frame of mind will that put him in for the RC if he is suspended. I can't imagine a fine will bother him much.

If you look back over his career he carried the same Scotty Cameron putter for most of those years. He has now for some reason changed his putter and isn't performing as well. Just my take on the matter.

He changed his putter for a couple of events because he wasn't performing with the Scotty, performed well with the replacement at the PGA and then struggled again, has since changed back.

Unless they play 25 tournaments a season they are required to play one they haven’t played in the last 4 years. It makes the players like Spieth who play a particularly big schedule pick different tournaments every year. If you play 25+ then the requirement doesn’t stand.

They have to play 15 events to retain membership of the tour.

They can be fined or suspended for not complying with the “new” tournament rule, but I doubt the tour would ever suspend Spieth.

Players retain their card through exemptions by winning tournaments, or by finishing in the top 125 Fedex cup places.

29pts ha ha ha!!! Back to reality! Still think there might be something in it though so will persevere with it in today's comp.

The Grove corporate day was absolutely fabulous, treated like a tour pro from start to finish and even managed to score 36 points.

Trick shot guy Tricky Rob put on a show which was also brilliant, anyone seen him?

Haven’t seen him but there are a few similar chaps doing the rounds, their hand eye coordination and balance is top notch to pull off the shots they do!

Anyone remember Noel Hunt? He performed at several Ryder Cups with his range of trick shots. I spent ages trying to do one of them and all I did was get a lot of bruises. Take a 5ft tall tee,a driver head, a length of hosepipe and put a bit of shaft with a grip on the end and then ask people if they wand to see a fade or a draw. It;s a miracle if you can swing it, let alone hit the ball!

Dramatic scenes in the Speith household then. Turn down the heating in the in-laws' gardener's back-up swimming pool for a week.
