You’ll have plateaus where you’ll play better golf and then level off and it feels like your not playing as well. Don’t be discouraged by poor rounds right after playing well. It’s going to happen.

If it was 250yrd to Pin. I’d attempt to get front edge with 5 wood to leave a chip or long putt.
If it’s 250yrd front edge. Sorn off 2 iron for a steady 200yrds to leave a lob or sand wedge in.

I think the most important thing to really take in, no matter of handicap. Do whatever you can to hit GIR, if that means laying up or taking it on, clubbing up and swinging smooth. Just make sure you hit the green in reg. That is the absolute key to dropping shots.

28 putts today, 3 rounds into a new putter and it’s already feeling as good as anything I’ve ever used.
Lead to a 42pts 4bbb result. Enough for the win with today’s winds.
Just need to putt this well on my own card. Already received 0.5 back this season. (Work has been getting in the way of practice so consistency has buggered off)

Finally a buffer. Had to birdie the last just to not get another 0.1. Game feels really close to being good again.

Lots of golf planned this weekend with the upcoming weather?

You can play golf with any grip, but you need to understand the strengths and weakness’s of your grip. I’m fairly strong in my left hand but perfectly neutral in my right hand. I also a baseball gripper as I have small hands.
Being able to under stand the results and causes of a bad swing is what will help you to advance as a golfer on any level.

The course is set up okay. It’s the greens and pin positions. They set them just too close to some major run offs.
Played Woodall Spa yesterday, was carnage with the wind howling off the left for the whole back 9. 26 points. Swing went AWOL, woke up this morning with sore hands. Must have been throttling the club without realising.

Not guilty.
Did see a player that coach has been teaching shoot a 69 off 8!

Can’t beat a hole in one. Well Done!
Seen 4 over the years I’ve played. Had one myself but was out by myself so no one to witness it.

My course has it up for £249 brand new, and we get 10% off anything in store as part of our membership, along with free fitting.

I may book a fitting anyway and see how we get on - I've tried a couple of drivers there, and in both cases they told me not to buy them as they were performing worse for me than the Nike Covert Tour I had at the time.

I suspect I need a lot more than a new driver to sort my errant tee game out, but it doesn't hurt to try does it? smile
I got fitted for a 917 at launch. I bought the driver and 5 wood. 5 wood is still in the bag (with a different shaft all be it) but the driver only lasted 2 months. Just couldn’t get it to feel right compared to my G30.
Only driver I’ve tried since then that I prefer is the Rogue.
Might be worth a fitting but I wouldn’t buy if there isn’t a huge improvement

Don’t mind him or his different way of dong things, but how he handled his 72’nd hole blow up on the Euro Tour was not right.
Under the intense pressure of a RC will he implode again? Not sure but I wouldn’t fancy playing him if I was a Euro players, he’s known as a bit of a slow player
