£50 for 250 Eley 1st Select 7.5 28g. Could probably shop around to get them cheaper, but this place is within walking distance of my office.

2g less lead per shell helps them keep the cost down (see also: Hull Superfast 27g). Doubt you’d notice any difference in your shoulder or downrange tbh.

Cheapest near me are Jocker 28g at £45 a slab or £175/1000. They do the job even if they do come in a plastic bag instead of a box!

Failing that Eley Olympic Blues £53/250 at the moment.

Currently using Cheddite 28gm. Very fast and accurate. Told they are the fastest cartridge on the market. Certainly improved my scores. Not difficult though. Can't remember the price but not much difference from run of the mill products.

Not so long ago , Sportsman were doing their own branded Smokers fibre 28g for £150/1000.

Wish I'd bought a container load!

Alas ammunition will only ever get more expensive.
