Should have left Curran in and left out Rashid who has done nothing. He seems to only be playing to satisfy Ed Smith's selecting of him. Stupid decision.
Agreed. There seems to be some sort of unwritten law which says that every team must have a "mystery spinner". Stuff that, pick five top quicks, and blast India out. Anderson, Broad, Stokes, Curran, Woakes, Duke ball, job done.

Stupid decision... but when were the selectors ever any different !

I like Stokes, but it would have done him no harm at all to wait for the next series.
Totally agree.

Dumb decision and typical of the selectors.

We'd better win the next test at a canter and Stokes had better play out of his skin.

Yep, agree, tough on Sam Curran who has shown positive Test attitude.

Big risk picking Stokes, if he doesn't perform really well then he should get sidelined until next summer tests at the earliest.

Love the ECB Stokes timeline.

Stokes arrested but not charged. Dropped from the team for the ashes.

Stokes, formally charged, but not convicted. Re instated against New Zealand.

Stokes going to trail, ECB investigation suspended, Stokes selected, then unavailable as in court.

Stokes found not guilty, back in the team but under ECB investigation.

They really are fking clueless aren’t they.

Curran should be in regardless of Stokes.

Clueless doesn't even start to cover it.

And then they have the audacity to say they're getting him back into the squad for his own well being.

Anyway, back to the cricket. Woakes taking all the wickets this morning. Broad hooping it rounds corners !

A bit of something different wouldn't go amiss right now.

Really disappointed Curran has been discarded.

Yeah I didn’t understand that decision, always bat first. Now we will have to bat 4th on this pitch. I thought Root had already learned this lesson.

3 wickets doesn’t justify the decision, I know our top five are weak, but this is terrible.

Stokes, worst bowler of the day, no question.
Going to have to do something with the bat now.
Fail at that, the boos will get louder.

Surprised to hear them as he warmed up, reselection completely misjudged.
