Great win, could have gone either way, but Kohli needs some support in the batting.

Few things to work on for England, slip fielding being one, left handed playing leg spin is another

Been too busy this morning to listen, which was a bummer, but a fortunate won for us.

We've got some time to practice twix now and Thursday.

Cook might do better to bat with a Twix. /Boycott

I was wondering why Stokes had been left out, before remembering his trial starts on Monday.

Bit rude of the maj's to schedule his trial in the middle of a bleeding test series. It's just not cricket.

Really ? I assumed Malan had photos of Root being pounded by Merv Hughes or something.

smile

If Pope gets off to the same start Curran has, we may have hope at 1 or 2.

Maybe Cook is somehow the "problem" in our opening batsmen? We seem to have tried dozens of partners for him, but never dropped him.

Was listening to TMS on a long drive Saturday...great test smile my FiL had turned it off when it was 140-6 and Kohli settling in, fully expecting an England loss....fool biggrin

It was a great test match, I think the Indian side are an exciting bunch of players, and England can really be heroes or villains in this series. I hope the ECB realize at the end of this that there is still a big appetite for a 5 test series that isn't the Ashes.

The crowds will floack to see this kind of quality, I really hope India also see the value of Test match cricket.

But, just out of camera shot, Cook dropped the rebound.

Judging by the flavour of the stuff that's coming out at the Bristol court today I reckon we need to start making plans for replacing Stokes for quite a while yet.
