Let's be honest; the only person Eddie Hearn cares about is himself. But perhaps it is the same for all promoters.

Brook and Crolla were definitely always going to get badly beaten. And let's not forget Rocky Fielding who "got to box at MSG", but was left little to no time to acclimatise when he went to the US and so basically got to be run over by Canelo.

Hearn would argue he is securing them a decent payday, but I'm still not sure he cares about them. I do think he pays people on time, which is important, but he is very happy to take advantage to ensure he gets paid himself when the opportunity arises.

It's the fighters job to say no though, Whyte turned down AJ only recently.

Brook took the GGG fight after seeing what happend to Khan when he moved up, so had his eyes open (no pun intended).

And Brook was again emotional about not wanting to lose the title hence why he took on Spence despite weight issues.

Hearn has to please Sky and now Dazn, along with selling out the venue. If any promoter can keep his fighters making acceptable money fighting bums then he will, but at some point he will look for the peakdays.

Speaking of Brook, I was on a night out with a promoter a few weeks ago. Talking about boxing etc and he mentioned that Brook is gay.

Makes no odds to me whatsoever, but I didn't have a clue.

He is married with kid so why would you have jumped to that conclusion.

He didn't sue Khan for saying it so who knows. https://www.boxingscene.com/amir-khan-if-brook-rea...

First high profile boxer to come out would make massive cash via sponsorship deals.

You mean like Orlando Cruz? Made no difference to his career and bank balance.

No conclusion was jumped to, I was told outright. An open secret in boxing circles apparently.

Don't shoot the messenger.

I suppose if you are a fighter and get the opportunity to fight the best in the world, you are gonna take it!! Sometimes feel promoters and managers are brave on behalf of the proud fighters, a bad beating can shorten a fighters career at best and the worst does not bear thinking about

I meant there is no reason for the average person to suspect he is, as his personality isn't camp and so on from what I've seen. He didn't tell Spence he would be giving him a Botox filler, he said chocalate brownie smile

He isn't like Ronaldo who is having questions asked as he posts pics of himself being carried by 'close male friends' whilst wearing little, and has kids with unknown surrogates rather than his female partners.

He hasn't won belts yet has he? And is from a non western country where pink pound may not be significant. Brook is high profile and UK LGBT economy will be billions, if he had come out as gay after Shawn Porter fight he would have been fighting sponsors off.

But would also get inevitable homophobic abuse too hence why no gay footballers

Probably just me, but I don't really watch womens boxing.

I don't want to see women beat each other up, even though the same skill and sportiness is involved as mens boxing.

Some of Katie Taylor's fights have been the highlight of the night for me.

Miller using PEDs.... who'd have thought it whistle

TBH I thought he wouldn't have risked using PEDs in the run up to this fight, which is one reason I thought Joshua would be the easy winner.

Now let's see if Hearn tries to find a way to let the fight go ahead, in exactly the opposite way he did when it was Saunders vs Andrade.

Is the same Miller who accused AJ of using peds a while back laugh

What's absurd is that Millers positive result comes from a random Voluntary Anti-Doping Association conducted urine test he submitted to in mid March.

Keyword: Voluntary.

If you are taking a banned substance why would you volunteer if it's not mandatory?
