Yarde will be travelling to Russia to take on Kovalev, late June.
Talk about taking on a challenge!
I was just mentioning Yarde the other day and saying that he needs a proper challenge now as he is in danger of going backwards. Talk about taking on a challenge!
I didn't expect him to go all Rocky IV on us though!
If American judges are against foreigners, just imagine a tight decision in Russia!
I remember Wilder was going to fight Povetkin in Moscow, cancelled as the the Russian failed drugs test. Was a strange decision (more money?)seeing as Wilder was a belt holder.
Wilder made an appearance, as himself, on the TV show Billions this week funnily enough, so his profile is growing.

Calzaghe has a fantastic resume yet one can argue only kessler, which i think was his best performance, and the overmatched Lacy were at their peak from his roster of opponents. He and froch would have been epic, immovable object v unstoppable force. I suspect Joe would have won a hard fought decision, nobody getting knocked out in that one!!
Completely agree. He really performed well. Fantastic to see given his upbringing and being homeless for a time as a kid. I think it's easy to say that Hurd didn't look himself but Williams was quite happy fighting on the inside and catching him with that right uppercut and quick combos.
In other news, Harold Lederman passed away a few days ago which is pretty sad.

Josh Taylor fight however, I'm massively interested in. He's got his hands full with Baranchyk and I hope he pulls it off. Inoue on the undercard too - great night of boxing tomorrow!!
Agree, should be some great boxing. I hadn't really seen much of Baranchyk so watched a few rounds on youtube. TBH, he doesn't look that special to me. He has quite crude skills in terms of his footwork and jab.
He does though like to take risks; in particular, he seems fond of rushing in and throwing a hard left hook. And because of his relatively stocky build and good power, it can be effective.
Taylor though should be able to jab and move all night, and finish him by KO in the later rounds, when Baranchyk gets tired. Unless he gets drawn into a scrap and gets careless....

Ustinov might ask some questions or Joyce. He is a tough old war horse. Not made mind up about Joyce yet, seems to be behind dubois and gorman
My prediction is Joyce will grind out a KO win over Ustinov. We know Joyce lacks speed, guile, head movement etc etc. But personally, I don't think it will be Ustinov to expose those things.
