i reckon joshua on points or late rounds stoppage after a spritely start from ruiz by the way
Dazn can't afford a points win on Joshua's US debut. For this reason, it will be a Joshua KO win for sure.

you may well be right pal.....BUT he has shown to be very durable...i've never seen him hurt before. i don't think he's ever been wobbled, let alone dropped... so far in 33 fights he's only got 1 contentious loss and in the amateurs he went 105-5 beating a good few notable names along the way.....i haven't seen anything so far to suggest he's going to go away easy..

this is a tough spot for joshua...everyone is expecting a highlight reel knockout over the fat lad nobody has heard of...but the reality of it is that ruiz is certainly one of the better contenders out there...

having said all that, as much as i like ruiz, i hope joshua makes a massive statement tomorrow night as it forces wilder's hand a little more

I agree with your assessment of his resume. I'm not saying it will be a stoppage win because he is relatively short and a bit chubby.

I think from a DAZN business point of view they need a stoppage win. Maybe I'm being cynical, but I expect levers will have been pulled behind the scenes to make pretty sure it ends in a stoppage/KO win.

I'm not saying to the extent that the result is fixed, but I could imagine Ruiz could have been offered as part of the contract a 'building back up' fight, assuming he is sufficiently "impressive" in this fight.

yes AJ has to look spectacular on his US debut.

Khan's new mission, to heal centuries old Indian-Pakistani conflicts by beating up an Indian rofl

"It will be the first time a British Pakistani will fight an Indian boxer, which eventually will bring the two nations together," added Khan.

Just can’t get excited for AJ v Ruiz. Hearn and AJ trying to build up Ruiz like his Evander Holyfield when we all know it’s going to be an easy night. Just another bum.

After the fight they’ll call out Wilder. Then fk all will happen. Again. Rinse and repeat.

For the biggest fight on the night I hope Persoon wallops Taylor.

Amount of Irish shiiite around Taylor is galling. The Blarney bores me to tears.

I'm going to the fight and I'm more excited to watch Taylor than Joshua. She's a fantastic fighter and a brilliant role model.

Doubt it.
Wilder knew he would be called out straight after the fight, hence he already agreed to fight Ortiz in a rematch a few days ago, the ducking chicken.

Ruiz is most certainly not a bum. He has a great amateur record and his only loss could easily be argued that he beat Parker. I felt he did anyway.

He won't beat AJ but he'll put up a fight for as long as it lasts be that 1 round or 12.

I took this pic from the final press conference just now, he is too short, probably too slow and likely will tire out. Then go buy more Snickers on his way home.

Ruiz has very good boxing skills & has hand speed Joshua can only dream of...Don't judge a book etc , not saying he will win but this is a better chalenge for him than that fat useless lump Miller.

Boxing skills and hand speed are not much use unless you get close enough to use them.

Ruiz will need to take punches and risks to get in there, and AJs power will hurt.

Just been to the weigh in and that's, at least visually, a mismatch. As is Smith's bout. They both look embarrassed. MSG looks like an amazing place to watch a scrap though. Met lots of the old timers outside, Macklin looks like he could still be fighting tomorrow

The weigh in.

No idea how a 'professional athlete' can be in such flabby shape. Ruiz clearly has a decent record so imagine how good he could be if he looked after himself.
