See, I told you lot Ortiz is a hard fight. It's why Wilder has already signed the contract while he has a belt hehe

Wilder has been doing loads to build his profile, lots of appearances everywhere so should be a bigger fight. Tyson instead is fighting an unknow.

I took this pic from the final press conference just now, he is too short, probably too slow and likely will tire out. Then go buy more Snickers on his way home.

Who wins this fight?
https://images.app.goo.gl/Bxb4nTMMqjAg8T528

Not saying Ruiz will win but you can't judge fighters on physique, particularly at heavyweight. Ruiz has fought, for whatever reason, at a high weight forever. He has a great engine, great handspeed, good movement, and, up till now, an excellent chin. Aj has struggled with smaller more compact heavyweights in the past, povetkin and takam jumping to mind. Ruiz is in no way 'more compact' but his size, shape and style may prove irritating for aj as long as he lasts. I am expecting a FIGHT tonight not a blow out, although with aj huge equalising power, one never knows. Best wishes to both fighters, stay safe, and return home to your families with all your faculties....gbn

Deontay Wilder v Tyson Fury rematch 'officially on' :-

Puts AJ in a tight spot, he'll have to fight at least twice again now before meeting either of those two, presumably one of those will have to be Whyte, assuming of course they all keep winning.

Well it's not 'officially on' until Fury puts pen to paper as well, is it?

Exactly. All this TALK from Wilder is just damage control. AJ called him out for a face to face meeting and his response was to quickly
'announce' two fights as officially happening. When they are not. The guys avoidance of AJ is becoming a joke now.

Exactly. Fury fights who he wants when he wants apparently.
The big dosser.

6 of one half a dozen of the other imo.

Wilder has made a fight with someone who could have easily beaten him. Joshua hasn't.

Who? I don't see anything official yet. Besides. Wilders had 40 fights in a 10 year career. Isn't it about time he fought someone with a pulse? Even if it's and old 40 year old with high blood pressure. Who's never won a world title.....

Damage control from what?

Team Wilder have continuously outmanoeuvred Team AJ. Wilders profile state side is growing and growing, he even starrred in the hit show Billions recently.

BBC say AJ isn't catching the imagination, and it was mostly British fans at weigh in. And as it's on Dazn, few will watch it. That's why AJ has been non stop name checking Wilder these weeks.

Eddie has, thus far, been a boy against men.

AJ calls out Wilder. Wilder rushes to announce his next opponent. Which receives a huge amount of criticism. So he announces another fight to satisfy the fans. As official. When it isn't. This is so easy to read even a 5 year old could see what he's doing. Wilder has 300 000 ppv sales to his name. AJ has consistently hit over 1 million. It's pretty clear who is more well known.

Wilder doesn't rush to do anything, he respects his co-managers and follows.

His co-managers are Al Haymon and Shelly Finkel. Two undisputed global 'heavyweights' of the boxing business.

They know and understand the American market, we don't, Eddie doesn't.

The 50 million on tap for AJ was also real, these are serious players.
