As long as he fights Wilder next, then who cares.

Arum/Warren/Al want to make more money out of the Wilder fight. Fury will talk his talk, win, maybe a stoppage even, and then all good for Wilder (if he gets past Ortiz).

BJS has left Warren, going with Hearn say rumours.

If he is on DAZN, then Canelo/GGG fights may be easier to make. They could make BJS vs Canelo a non-drug testing event!

IBF strip Canelo of the title, as failed to agree terms with Derevyanchenko.

Derevyanchenko to fight GGG for it?

Got to be the plan. Derevyanchenko knew the IBF would strip Canelo when their negotiations fell through. Derevyanchenko can then fight GGG for likely a similar amount of money to what GBP was offering. And then if Derevyanchenko beats GGG, he is IBF world champion, and so can demand a much bigger slice of the Canelo pie.

Very big if. I can't see Derev beating GGG.

I wasn't really commenting who will win the fight. Maybe he won't beat GGG. But he will have more control over the other factors which have some influence over the probable result e,g. location, judges, ring size, canvas padding etc.

With Canelo, it would be all locked down by GBP (and heavily in favour of Canelo).

This way, he gets likely similar money, against an older GGG, and with more control over the surrounding factors. If he loses, he can rebuild. If he wins, he is quids in.

I don't disagree with your logic. I just think it's like saying David Price beats Tyson Fury and then all these options open up. Of course they would, but it ain't gonna happen. GGG will KO Derev.

It isn't like saying that. Derevyanchenko had the option of fighting Canelo. He turned it down. I was just giving the explanation as to why it was a logical decision.

Whatever mate. You seem to want to argue and I don't. So let's just say you're right, I'm wrong or didn't understand and I'll just stick with my prediction that Derev will GTFKO.

Caught up with the Conlan fight. Would be interesting to see him next year challenging Frampton.

Just following on the back of the Canelo stuff, this is an interesting rumour.

The suggestion is Canelo is taking legal action against Golden Boy (as they have promised DAZN a third GGG fight), and GGG is taking action against DAZN (for not delivering a third Canelo fight)....if true, John Skipper is going to feel like re-starting his cocaine habit with all these shenanigans.

I think 'good while it lasts' may be a fair description.

I was a big Donaire fan but I think he is going to get wiped out in short order in this fight.

Very believable.

Been lots of rumours for weeks that Canelo has fallen out with Oscar and the management at golden boy.

Oscar and co came out and publicly backed there negotiator when Canelo attacked hthe guy on Twitter for him losing the belt last week. Was all 'us against him' vibe.

I'll go with that. Inoue is a force of nature.

i loved donaire... but i think the walters loss took a lot of the wind out of his sails...definitely 2 or 3 years proper past it even though the walters loss was 5 years ago!!...

inoue is fast climbing the p4p rankings for me.. an absolute ANIMAL!
