The **BOXING** thread (Vol 3)
Discussion
However if you’ve not ordered through your Sky box before you’ll have to register and buy the fight through the BT website. The only downside as I’ve just found out is that if you buy it this way then you can’t record it!! So that’s £25 wasted for me because there’s no way on earth I’m getting up at 5am to watch the fight!

This is the most exciting fight I can remember I must say, possibly the most exciting sporting event. Tyson Fury is a warrior among men, a true character; funny, sharp and as hard as nails. I desperately want to see him win this fight.
Not as exciting as the thrilla in Manilla.Davos123 said:
Ridiculous that people are writing Fury off with phrases like "I just can't see him winning". Really? I get there's a good chance of Wilder winning but they've fought before and Fury won and got robbed. It's crazy to say you can't see him winning now, a year on without the ring rust and in better shape. Wilder hasn't become a much better fight in that time, people acting like it's a foregone conclusion he'll knock out Fury inside 6 rounds are the worst kind of casuals.
I don't know if that comment is aimed at me as I've said both of those things. The fight is very close, too close to call, but I can't see Fury lasting 12 rounds again. - He's a lot heavier than he has been for his last few fights. So stamina might be an issue if he can't put Wilder away early.
- If he does go for his 2nd round knock-out and doesn't get it, how will he cope for the rest of the fight?
- He's got 20 KOs, but Wilder has never (to my knowledge) been put on the floor, stung certainly, but he seems to have a good chin.
- Fury has a twitch where he switches off for a second. He goes to wipe his nose, and even Wallin caught him because of it. Wilder caught him again as he did it in the first fight: https://www.sho.com/video/65123/wilder-knocks-down...
- The cut is potentially an issue
- Rumours of a bad camp, rumours of injury
Don't get me wrong, I'd love Fury to win. I really would. However, I think Wilder is the hardest heavyweight to beat in the division right now. He's got the biggest single punch I've ever seen. He doesn't need to win rounds, as he will back himself all night long. He's got a great engine, he's fast a very mobile in the ring.
It's just my belief that Wilder will win this, he will feel he can walk Fury down early on and will leave the result in no doubt this time.
I'm 100% happy to be proven wrong though! Really looking forward to it, not so excited about the 3am alarm I've just set though!!
