I give Brook an outside chance of causing an upset. If its true that he has been slogging away for the last 5 months then he will have done the weight well. Some fighters look like walking skeletons at the weigh in but to me Brook didn't have that look.I cant see bud getting the ko remember Brook was doing well agai st triple g and spence till the eye sockets let go and he does know how to win away from home so will not be overawed by the occasion.Only downside is inactivity he needs to gain Crawford's respect early it could possibly become a counter punching chess match but being away from home he has no choice in my eyes but to get on the front foot and try to take control early.Whatever happens if brook brings something resembling his A game it should be a hell of a fight.

So Crawford wins by KO.
Brook seemed to have almost zero punch resistance. But was to be expected.
Brooks had some hard fights , sustained alot of injuries, plenty of miles on the clock. One last roll of the dice , fair play to him. Given us some great nights, maybe not done himself any favours out of the ring, however got plenty to be proud of. Hope he goes into retirement peacefully! Arum in interview said a fight with Manny likely in spring, a middle east country has offered to host it. And the money is assured.
Although Crawford's contract is up next year with Toprank. He should perhaps sign with PBC so he can get the fights...

Didn't they discover the 10'000 emails that the mcguigans claimed were deleted and not recoverable half way through the trial?
Frampton stating he was very happy with the outcome on Twitter so suggests that those discovered emails would be very damming on the mcguigans so they've settled out of court with an NDA signed to avoid the bad press
Yes, I think this is most likely spot on.Frampton stating he was very happy with the outcome on Twitter so suggests that those discovered emails would be very damming on the mcguigans so they've settled out of court with an NDA signed to avoid the bad press
Hes an Odious little one... and im from not far from his home town and he is not popular in those parts either and not for a long time and with his attitude towards money 'uber alles' he has lost alot of friends and support. Everyone who goes in with Cyclone ends up either 1. leaving 2.leaving and then suing.

Anyone see/read about the controversy surrounding the Moloney v Franco fight for the WBA super flyweight title?
From what I’ve read, seems like corruption has struck big time again.
I watched this back after seeing your post the last was completely robbed. Disgraceful and no rematch clause....From what I’ve read, seems like corruption has struck big time again.

Hello everyone,
I hoped I would never have to write this message, never mind at 28 with my last fight being when I was 27 years old but I made the decision a few nights ago with my sister that I would no longer from that moment on be a professional fighter,
boxing has given me a life I could never of dreamed of, I had never been out of Doncaster but for school trips till I started boxing and it’s taken me round the world from New York City to working men’s club all around the uk, as well as seeing the world it has taken me from the kid brought up in a council house with yellow doors wearing Umbro to a man who still wears Umbro but owns a few houses and who has given myself a chance to give my future kids a life I could only have dreamed of,
on top of and more importantly I have made the greatest friends, some of them being my childhood heroes, the list of thanks would be far to long but I hope everyone knows who they are and know they are appreciated, lastly the reason for me calling it a day is simple, I don’t want to get punched anymore, long gone are the days of the kid from donny who just wants to fight, all I want now is a nice quiet life with a wife and some kids healthy and happy getting nice and fat.

In my view it was clearly a thumb in the eye which caused the damage. So Moloney should have been declared the winner.
However, it was also unlucky for Franco to suffer such severe swelling in his right eye in only the first round. So in a sense, I can see why the referee might be inclined to call it no-contest, particularly as Franco was the champion (even though that isn't what the rules say).
The commentators and Arum were mostly annoyed though that Moloney was their guy (Arum promotes Moloney, and this was a Top Rank show). So now Arum will need to pay Franco more money to get the rematch.
