AJ's bigger problem is the USA. Reports said barely anyone watching his last fight there on DAZN, hence why DAZN changed strategy and took on Golden Boy as a second promoter and turned to Canelo.
Whyte isn't the name to help AJ there, even though it maybe a lively fight.
Matchroom are desperate to sign up Wilder early, as they need to promote the hell out of it stateside to get AJ established there.
Yeah agreed. I think Wilder vs Joshua in London is easily the most likely fight next. It's the right fight for both fighters. Wilder will be no more confident of beating Fury than AJ and would earn less money and Joshua will be much more confident of beating Wilder and probably earn similar to a Fury fight, which he can always take after. If he takes Fury first and loses that and the rematch his career is either done or taking a huge step back. If I were him I'd want Wilder first, then I'd let Wilder and Fury have their rematch once I'd taken Wilder's belt. Then I'd take a mandatory or two before fighting Fury. Whyte isn't the name to help AJ there, even though it maybe a lively fight.

I love a one hitter quitter but a body shot KO can be beautiful to watch too.

I would love to see Wilder vs Whyte and Dillian has been the number 1 ranked fighter for the WBC belt for a considerable amount of time. That would be a great fight where both fighters will pose a great threat to each other. I'd love to see Whyte topple him.
Defo. who Fury schooled and battered twice
Two great main events, some of the other fights on both cars were not the best, but the main events and Charlie Edwards made up for it.
Whyte is seriously underrated. He is naturally clumsy, he looks off balance most of the time and will sometimes look a little lost in a fight. His fitness has improved vastly since AJ beat him three years ago and on Sat he waited and waited for Dell to tire himself out, backed his best shot to KO him which is a risk when your losing rounds due to being less active, but that left hook is vicious and can KO anyone anytime.
His jab is also massively improved, but more than anything else is tough as nails and can absorb massive amounts of punishment. I think he beats most HW. I think AJ would beat him again though, and fairly comfortably as improved as he is. Would be a great build up, but ultimately I'm not that excited about the rematch.
AJ has to fight Wilder next really, it's been talked about for over a year and will be a big let down if it doesn't happen even now. If not Wilder I'd rather see him against Miller to be honest.
Frampton vs Warrington was an absolute war, great fight.
Mark Heffron was terrible, not sure why as he's a lot better than that.

Who underrates Whyte? Think most people would have him in the top 6 heavyweights in the world.
Got to be honest - I don't rate Whyte. Clumsy, lumbering style. Watched his laboured points victory over Helenius and thought he was poor. Even his knockouts leave me feeling underwhelmed. I bought the PPV vs Parker hoping Parker would win. Was desperately hoping Chisora would cause an upset...
I have bought all of the AJ PPVs, but, unless they do something amazing with the undercard, I won't be buying AJ vs Whyte II.
Billy Joe Saunders has given his first proper interview since his failed VADA test earlier this year.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1pZI9JffzRQ
Quite interesting - the main part of his 'defence' is that he passed a subsequent random VADA test about 4 days after his initial failed VADA test. He contention was, if he was cheating, he would have failed both tests and because he didn't, that means he was clean.
He also hints in the video that the "nasal spray" was given to him by Dominic Ingle as medication for a blocked nose he was suffering at the time.
The only problem with this argument is that oxilofrine has a very short half life, so it is entirely possible to fail a test on day 1 and pass it on day 5. Plus, even it is wasn't an illegal drug on the VADA list, which it is, the levels found in the original test were not consistent with someone applying a regular dose from a nasal spray to help with a blocked nose.
Everyone knows Saunders struggles to maintain the discipline needed to make weight properly, and since he moved to the Ingle gym, his physical condition has improved remarkably.
So most likely this was part of his routine to make weight - after all, it was a supplement allowed during camp by UKAD - he was just "unluckly" to be tested by VADA at the wrong time, and Ingle hadn't realised the difference in what VADA define as "in competition" vs how UKAD define it.
His problems were exacerbated as he was shown to be a hypocrite, after his extensive and public criticism of Canelo, and he had very little goodwill from the authorities after the various instances of demeaning random members of the public on Youtube.
Quite a sorry tale for a skilled boxer.
It's a strange one
At the back of my mind, I suspect most athletes including boxers do cross the line with regards to illegality, as the pressures and rewards are so great and failure means losing everything.
So I think the ones that caught are the unlucky ones.
But whilst everyone pretends these are the few rather than the many, anyone actually caught as a drug cheat is forever tainted in your mind.
Take Tyson, brilliant performance and was tested in camp, but what happened before he signed up to get that weight down and stamina up.
Not much you can do though but accept it all at face value.
With regards to Ingle not knowing, I could see that for a amateur or new pro who is broke. But with a high profile star and champion it shouldn't work like that as he has a team and a setup around him.
Any chemical anywhere near bjs is quite simply signed of by his sports doctors first- you can't have coaches administering medicine. Makes no sense, for a start, Warren who stands to lose cash over any breach should have it in contract.
