It’s not a farce really.

It’s entertainment, not a sporting contest.

The public wanted to see it and the public gets what the public is willing to pay for.

I’d love the public to want to see me fight Floyd for a few million. biggrin

Actually, Wilder doesn't have to fight Fury next but it is the most likely fight to happen. As for Whyte, he is ranked as number 1 in the WBC and has been there for sometime too which should be enough to secure him a shot at the title.
They problem is that Whyte and Hearn get him to Number 1 for IBF and WBC, and then when the final eliminator is ordered (Pulev for IBF, Ortiz for WBC) - say there's no reason to be fighting in them and choose rematches with Chisora instead.

Would have been great if ITV had put it free on main channel, but appears will be ppv.

I'm not paying to see Eubank, not after his performance against Groves.

Absolutely - completely ignored a lot of fundamentals and for the second time was outboxed by an opponent who only had to rely on the basics. Chunky always brings a good fight, but for Eubank, a free to air would have been good.

I will be buying it. The build up will be entertaining, assuming they make themselves available properly to the youtube media, and I think both their styles could fit together well.

Bit of a crossroads fight too. If DeGale wins, we might well see him in with a rematch with Groves. If he loses (badly) suspect he will retire.

For Eubank, he needs to show some serious improvement in skills if he is going to challenge for a proper world title. Having a great physique and superb endurance won't be enough.

If he loses, I can see him still rebuilding and going for a rematch with BJS.

I’d like to see DeGale win. I think Eubank is an idiot and has wasted his career. World class in his mind. Remember his old man saying he’d ‘wreck’ Andre Ward. Ha.

Kovalev I’m action too on 2nd Feb. One boxer that slipped from my mind.

AB vs Paqman on 19th Jan. On ITV too but I believe it’s not on PPV. Could be wrong.

Interesting match up, DeGale will have to be on his A game and hurt Eubank early. Groves beat Eubank by effectively letting him know early who the boss was with his spiteful stiff jab, DeGale doesn't really have that and for all of Eubanks failings I believe he can hit hard and if DeGale takes to the ropes and he seems to have done too much in his last few bouts Eubank will punish him.

I'd hate to see DeGale in another tough match. He's not the guy he was 5 years ago.

Yeah that fight is a definite crossroads one for both fighters.

Don't get the hate for Eubank, I judge boxers purely on their ability as fighters and he is always in entertaining bouts and is immensely brave so I will pay to watch.

The truth is although he is not a world beater he will also give anyone a good fight and is not to be taken lightly.

Yeah, I agree. I like Eubank jr's style too.

When he boxes, he understands that, whilst the obvious objective is to win, actually the real objective is to deliver entertainment. And he does that, both in the build up and during the contest.

Khans just announced Terence Crawford in April in New York. Disappointed he didn’t go the brook route but should be an interesting match up

Has it definitely been announced? I saw the rumours yesterday, but he could still be using the Crawford option to leverage more money from Hearn/Sky.

It won't be interesting in the slightest, and Khan has yet again gone for one of the P4P best thinking he belongs there. Crawford is very fast, very powerful and not going to be troubled in any way by Khan. Crawford will knock him out inside 5 rounds.

Once Crawford has destroyed Khan we will see a year or so of Khan 'rebuilding'. In other words, the Brook fight will never materialise and it's purely because Khan is a deluded tt.

Arun addresses yesterdays rumours saying it's going well but nothing signed and sealed.
