so....... according to K2 usyk's next fight will be at heavyweight against either povetkin or ortiz..... jarrell miller and joseph parker have already turned down the fight apparently
Not here to take part, here to take over comes to mind. Fantastic first fights as it puts him right in the mix if he gets a win.JLC25 said:

Bold! Bet he'd have heavily preferred Parker StuTheGrouch said:
It won't be interesting in the slightest, and Khan has yet again gone for one of the P4P best thinking he belongs there. Crawford is very fast, very powerful and not going to be troubled in any way by Khan. Crawford will knock him out inside 5 rounds.
Once Crawford has destroyed Khan we will see a year or so of Khan 'rebuilding'. In other words, the Brook fight will never materialise and it's purely because Khan is a deluded tt.
The Brook fight will always happen. They both know they could even let that simmer for another couple of years and people in this country would still buy the PPV - we tend to be mugs like that.Once Crawford has destroyed Khan we will see a year or so of Khan 'rebuilding'. They can both explore other options knowing that a fight between them is money in the bank.
To be fair to Khan (and I think he's a much better boxer than some I admit) he has to take a fight with Crawford if it's on the table. Not just for the exposure but because he's a sportsman and he should be wanting to test himself at the highest level and Crawford is currently the highest level, its reassuring to me (as a fan of his) that he'd take this over a Prize Fight, even though I don't think many will be giving him a chance.

Just looked up his height, 6'3 same as povetkin and Ortiz. Will be tough fights but at least won't be down on height or reach. The top 3 are a lot bigger though.FredClogs said:

If Khan loses against Crawford, it's just a fight and a loss. Life continues. If he loses against Brook, a fellow countrymen and local rival then it's pride and hard to live down, especially if a hard KO. The money may sway it, but he doesn't want it.
Just googled and Crawford isn't confirmed yet.

Parker's promoter David Higgins has posted on twitter so say fake news, they haven't even spoken to Usyks camp at all...1) povetkin
2) parker/ortiz
3) miller
to be fair to parker he seems up for fighting anyone himself....thought it was a bit of a st move calling out bellew at heavyweight the day after he got starched by usyk at cruiser.... if you are supposed to be a top tier heavyweight you need to act that way....and calling out a man from the division below who stated win, lose or draw he was out after the usyk fight is a bit.....mehh...

yeah, expect all the he said/she said bullst ad nauseam now....in order of who i'd like to see him fight out of those 4....
1) povetkin
2) parker/ortiz
3) miller
I'd have Ortiz second - simply because we've seen Parker against Whyte and Joshua and he's fallen short both times - Ortiz has been avoided for a long time due to the high risk low reward - and if he does a better job than Wilder on him, it catapults him right up.1) povetkin
2) parker/ortiz
3) miller
Just hope that Usyk manages to get around his lack of size in todays heavyweight line ups - I have no doubt as a boxer, he could dance around Joshua and tee off almost at will - but in reality, one man is a fair bit bigger and more powerful, and has a history of getting that big combo in. - Outside of Joshua and Fury, I reckon he could do the lot.

BBC journalist Steve Bunce has said rumours going around that Joshua will fight Miller in USA, but if that is the case and with Wembley booked already, Wladamir may be up for a fight with Whyte at Wembley instead.
I'll be flabbergasted if that's correct. Buncey is prone to getting carried away with himself. Gassing Station | Sports | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
