frown Thanks, I hadn't seen that. Decent innings though, especially considering the start he had to his life and what he got up to later on. beer

Another legend gone, Doug Scott RIP. I still remember the lecture I went to circa 1986.

Bump!

Hopefully off to Cham at the weekend, still expecting the flights to be cancelled. We were planning a revisit of the Arete du Table but it looks like an impending heatwave will put paid to any prospect of that.

Currently thinking we'll do the Traverse de Crochues and Index Arete.

What an epic weekend! Perfect blue skies until the last afternoon yesterday when it started to rain while we were on the lift down.

Did the Index Arete on the Friday PM. One of my friends was running late so we were running late and on a mission. The 4c was one move but the rest was 4a/b which was plenty as a warm up in big boots. As it was, moving as a 3, we made good time and got back to the lift as they called the 5 minute warning! eek

Then did the Crochues Traverse on Saturday, which was a big day!

And then yesterday needed a short walk in! So, back up the Index lift again and did a 6 pitch 185m 5a Modern Times which was utterly superb and thankfully only a short 5a section as I was in approach shoes.

Three very different routes/days and all utterly superb!

Flight delays meant I only got home at 2 this morning, and I've tested positive for covid. rolleyes

And dear god my thighs hurt!!!!
