Anyone seen the new Tiger Wood irons from Taylormade?

https://www.taylormadegolf.eu/p7tw-tiger-woods-iro...

They look gorgeous - as good as some of the Mizuno TP range in days gone by.

I imagine they’ll be ludicrously expensive though. And difficult to hit well, but when you middle one....

Must resist...!!!

haplessboy - seriously well done with that card. very, very good achievement-now repeat it beerbeer

I have been somewhat disillusioned with my golf game over the past few weeks to the extent that the previous weekend, I just could not be bothered! After my last 2 rounds of golf - I had lost my swing completely. I have never duck-hooked, pushed and mist the ball as much as I did on those 2 rounds.

Then last week I went to the range a couple of times and I could feel something coming back which resembled decent striking of the golf ball. So I ventured out this weekend and had a fairly reasonable 14 holes (my playing partner was suffering a bit). Off the tee was extremely pleasing, but my mid-range irons left a lot to be desired.

I will go to the range again after work a few times this week before playing again at the weekend - I really need to get my game back.

I have - ludicrously pretty, but if they are full Tiger spec (X100 hard stepped shafts) they will be a little challenging to get airbourne smile

Think they are due to retail for around the £2k mark. Unless there is a lottery win in my near future I think I'll be sticking with what I have, which were Nike's version of the same irons (I first had the Original Blades they released in 2003, now moved on to the VR Pros), but with slightly softer shafts (S400 Tour Issue).

Wow, 2k? I assumed £1,500+.

I assume that in due course there will be appropriate custom fit shaft options etc - I note that the website lists the standard lofts and Tiger's actual lofts.

Maybe the P730s will come down in price now?!

According to the below they are retailing for $2000 in the US, which will probably end up as 2k over here. Standard shaft is the S400, so they will be a lovely set of irons - and if they are anything like the Nike models, they will be surpringly easy to hit.

For those without Sky, Now TV are doing a discount on a month's Sky Sports Pass for £20 if you fancy watching some of The Masters.

The highlight of my golfing year tomorrow, the annual Yeovil Town FC Golf Day at Sherborne Golf Club.... clap

£50 gets you a place in a four man team, made up of three "normal" people plus one current or former player. There's a coffee and bacon roll on arrival and a two course meal afterwards. In recent years, have been lucky enough to play with Gary Johnson and Lee Johnson along with various lesser-known players. Tomorrow I'm off at 9am with Paul Terry, brother of John... :spin

Three-quarters handicap and as I only play two or three times a year, I'll be off 28 (21). Yet to break a hundred; my short game isn't bad as I play now and again on a pitch and putt in Bath, but my driving is awful. Despite being quite strong and 6'4" tall, I'm lucky if my drives go 150 yards as I can't swing back anywhere near full.

Good fun usually though. I play with the same two each year, a father and son, and the father got a hole-in-one three years ago which is something to behold.

Bad form to quote yourself, but seeing as our team won, I'm happy to!! bounce

Paul played off 22 and scored 37 points which is pretty standard. I blobbed on three holes and scored 24 points which is poor but understandable considering how rarely I play. Team scored 89 points which is quite low compared to recent years....

They’ve changed the pricing - it was £1,599 when I posted the link, now £1,799 (4-PW)!

Not massively impressed with the Sky coverage - unless I’ve missed something, live coverage doesn’t start until 7pm. Even then it’s not for long.

Currently watching on CBS via Proton VPN - which I assume is an ok one. I’m not a VPN expert. It’s working fine smile

I don't understand why but during the afternoon Channel 405 only shows highlights but the Live coverage is on the red button - Featured Pairs, Amen Corner and holes 15 & 16 IIRC

The organisers restrict full live coverage to
protect attendance.

I actually really like watching the featured groups before the main broadcast starts.

For anyone without Sky, you can use a VPN to set your location to USA and watch featured groups on the masters app or masters.com and then the main broadcast when it starts.

The app also has a tracking feature where you can watch any shot on any hole. It’s a great app.
