Why are they still playing at loose balls and/or trying to get quick singles? Here is the everyman guide to Test cricket. Ball outside leg = tickle off the hip for a run or two. Ball outside off = LEAVE IT. Chance for a quick single: LEAVE IT.
Quite right. They’re playing a 1 day / 20/20 game. It’s a test match, if the bowler screws up, don’t go after the loose ball, unless it’s a sitter, not many have been. A top 1st class test batsman should be able to work out what the ball’s doing, none of this rabble seem to be able to do so.Blackpuddin said:

Because the Aussies are bowling really, really tight...you can’t just stay there you have to score some runs as well. CricViz just put these stats out in a Tweet :- Josh Hazlewood spell
7 overs
4 maidens
3 runs
1 wicket
60% on a good line
83% on a good length
50% on a good line and length
One in two balls was in the perfect Test match area and that’s reflected in his figures. Superb and crucial spell.
