Hasn't Broad had his one good test bowling session per summer already against that powerhouse Ireland
4/38
I doubt he'll get any more wicket in this Test though.

Bit dodgy letting people into the ground with sandpaper, isn't it?
I'm surprised Security didn't confiscate it at the gates...

Been quite impressed with Broad, for a change he doesn't seem to be fighting the pitch but working with it

Umpiring has been a bit off so far today, lots of wrong decisions.

Aussies will be bowling in about an hour at this rate, feel sorry for Smith, totally let down by everyone after his early partnership.
I will never feel sorry for that sack of st Smith lol.

TMS giving a free plug for this hundred ball **** by interviewing Andrew McDonald at tea. Hopefully we get back to the proper cricket and knock these last 2 over after the interval.

Been out between 3 down and tea. Anderson only bowled the opening 4 overs. Injury problem?

Now Gower mentions it, I did say it was too early after a muscle tear. Miss the opener play the next 4, give more time for full recovery.

Way it's looking now I could see them getting a decent score well over 250 if they can bat rest of day, Siddel looks solid as a rock and Smith too. Our lack of bowling attack because of Anderson seems to be coming back at us, Ali doesn't look like getting anything either, roles reversed Lyon would be.

Regarding Smith, yes he did a daft thing, but it's all done, I always suspected Warner more than anyone Bancroft was the dumb fall guy, but Smith here looks to be working damn hard and having a good smile and laugh with the England players, the people that matter respect him, you can see that. What's done is done, he paid the price.

Single-handedly got his team into a position where they are in the game rather than almost out of it. Siddel played a great innings.

nice to see a bit of emotion too, all it needed was Warner to fall off the balcony sadly!

Yeah piggy's playing well.
Time to let the clean players have a bat though.

What I really don't get is why someone as talented as Smith would lower himself to cheating.

He would have nothing but praise for what is a magnificent innings when all around him have collapsed.

As it stands, he's simply a cheat.

Good thing Atherton and Nasser (and others) have retired then.

Dear BBC

It isn’t ‘The men’s Ashes’. It is The Ashes.
