Love it!

Leach half way to beating Stokes in this innings. biggrin

I predict Buttler and Leach to bat until lunch tomorrow when they'll declare. wink

Promising stuff, long way to go though.

Said this yesterday, the England card doesn't look too bad compared to earlier matches but at the same time seems disappointing 294 is ok I suppose, would have been nice to cross the psychological barrier of 300 though.

From Twitter

That's really quite hard to fathom, I've been wracking my Yorkshire Physicsudding Brains to ascertain whether the shadow or the ultra edge is wrong.

So I'm going to blame Brexit Twitter.

Just orf for a spot of lunch and a few repeats of the Shipping Forecast. hehe

So it's looking to continue to be that the best strategy to handle Smith is for him to run out of batting partners hehe
Too true, what else can they do? He's something special that's for sure.

Tuffers on TMS is trying to figure it out - been a great days entertainment.

yes Not great as an England fan, but really is a force of nature. He was the difference that won the series for the Aussies.
(Disclosure: Yorkshire man in Ireland/Eire)

Met an Aussie in the pub last night, thoroughly decent fella, bit older and wiser than me.

He agreed that Smith has won this series for the Aussies, and said that with out the weather it really should be a slam dunk 5-0.

He did agree that it's been a pretty disappointing batting performance from both sides.

It's still been a thoroughly entertaining series though, and I love the highs and lows of an Ashes series more than who wins.

The memories of me and my son on the edge of the sofa watching Stokes in Headingly can never be forgotten - it's rare that sport can provide such entertainment. I'm sure he'll remember it and hopefully share it with his kids - "I remember watching this live with your Granddad (RIP) when I was a child..." type of stuff.

Reminded me of the 1998 Atherton/Donald confrontation, for some reason I can remember exactly where I was (at home in Kentish Town), exactly what I was working on (some software for CISCO routers) and being riveted to the screen (think it was an ex Radio Rentals TV) for every ball.

Hi, my name is JALS and I love cricket me. posted before

If I'm interpreting that drawing correctly, the idea is to use two bowlers simultaneously? Unorthodox, but effective hehe

We'll be bowling before half eleven. Crims to have 350/3 on the board by close.

My prediction: Labuschagne 100+, Smith 140 (followed by a wobble and out). Aus - 400 by end of day.

Must admit I was playing with the young fella over the weekend and on more than one occasion he was told LINE, LINE, LINE, then Length.

Are you from Yorkshire too?

Wonderful! I can remember childhood holidays in Whitby and Scarborough. I'm a Wetherby/Harrogate lad exiled in Eire at the moment, it's not bad at all but it's not Yorkshire, and they really don't 'get' cricket over here.

Root must surely look back at the matches and wonder how we lost to this bunch.
I think we all are thinking that. Cummins & Marsh have been very difficult to deal with and Smith, well Smith is just a freak.

Gosh, falling to bits in this session.

Sad for Denly not to get a ton.

Can't wait to see it all on the telly later.
