What about the TV coverage?
The commentary team for the ITA NAM game are awful - particularly the main commentator chap - He sounds like the chap who commentates on his local team with his "book of facts".

Hopefully he doesn't get any more games as the tournament goes on.

Scotland vs Ireland.

Loser (assuming they beat Japan) probably comes second in group and then likely face all blacks next round.

Tough group there.

We should encourage him to apply for the position of Italy defence coach... He couldn't possibly do worse than Brendan Venter, and you'd kill two birds with one stone, and conceding three tries to Namibia is shocking!

Oh no!

They are doing more of this stuff with a rugby ball.

Please turn it off?

Could someone let me know when they have stopped and I can then turn my telly back on.

I've not seen any of it as at best I'll get to just watch the actual games before family complaints kick in...

Are they just badly doing what BT Sport do quite well with the club sues in their audiences?

Nor me. Very surprised Barnes gave it without even going to the TMO

Should have gone to the TMO - Best was definitely not in control when the ball was touched down.

You could her Barnes tell the Scotland players that the TMO said the grounding was OK after the event, but surely he should have checked at the time.

Scotland at 6s and 7s here. Trying to play miles behind the gain line and making a complete pigs ear of it.

There's been a degree of pressure on the ITV crew to 'explain' rugby for viewers new to it. I agree to an extent with the idea. But this is not the way to go about it.

They are getting schooled all across the pitch. They need a Twickenham style turnaround here.

Yeah - where's *that* Scotland when you need them & why didn't *this* Scotland turn up at Twickenham?

Not much luck but way too many errors from Scotland. Ireland didn’t really need to do much to there but totally dominant.

My wife has offered to get my compression socks out. Three matches and F1 qualifying yesterday, and even more time sitting in front of the TV today. She might have a point.

Some lovely aggressive play by Ireland. I'm trying to work out if they are play a blinder or Scotland are not able to cope with their tactics.

Second half to start.

Ireland too strong, too good, too clever for this Scotland team,

I am very disappointed in Scotland today, and it looks like our best forward could miss the rest of the tournament.

I too was surprised Barnes didn't refer Best's grounding to the TMO, but it was never going to change the result.

I'm giving him that one though because imo he's just about the best there is currently.

It was raining. . bucketloads of pain on Scotland.

Scotland to qualify second, and lose narrowly but heroically to the all blacks in the next round to a dodgy ref decision in the last minute.
