I've joined as it's got to be worth a laugh. I'm little more than a casual observer when it comes to rugby so expect to be stone dead last in the rankings! https://www.superbru.com/worldcup_fantasy/pool.php...
Team picked based on personal notable players from this year's international tournaments, Namibia who I have in the work sweep and some mentions from the squidge rugby channel.

Taking day off Friday to watch the opening game! ( a bit sad maybe, but hey ho)
Not sad at all.Me and my mates are trying to align all of our business trips to be in Japan at the same time.
Am i going blind I cant see live match on freeview other than highlights and live on radio 5L? But on google for who has the right to show its saying it live on ITV bar 10 matches.
Cant wait! enjoyed the top 30 tries on yesterday, forgot about how good David Campese was or I on purpose deleted him from memory as he was a pain in our sides alot of times.

If anyone is stocking up on ‘essentials’ this weekend, perhaps take a look in Morrisons? A few quid to Help for Heroes at no cost to oneself.

I'm not sure about Farrell as the top points scorer, for the simple reason that there's no absolute certainty that he'll be taking the kicks if Ford is also starting...Winner - England (that's it, cursed them now)

I thought this was interesting (others may disagree )
Most interesting point for me was that despite all the talk of New Zealand robbing the South Sea Islands of playing talent, there are, in fact, only 4 islanders in their squad. Meanwhile, Tonga have 17 NZ born players in their squad and Samoa have 15!

I saw that too. It's a little misleading though, as most of the Kiwis playing for Tonga are the kids of Tongans who went the other way in the previous generation! Just seen the first match. Japan deservedly winners. Russia not as bad as they were painted, but lacking in inventiveness.
Japan needs to beat Scotland. I think a lot will depend on injuries. Japan have a long wait until their next match so they should be fresh and up to strength. Russia have got four days to recuperate. not sure they'll be as willing to run against Samoa.
