Pal of mine who is nuts for running the hills of Snowdonia will not wear any other brand than Norman Walsh. I have a few pairs of their ripple trainers and the quality is fab. Made in Bolton by hand. Not tooo dear.
+1 For Walsh Fell shoes.

Back in the day, I did quite a few fell races and I always wore Walsh PBs - really terrific shoes and I'm pleased to say, still available.

I’ve never even seen these,

They made shoes for

“Giant Haystacks, Big Daddy, Sir Chris Bonington and Roger Bannister” . . High praise indeed!

I might check them out too.

I had never realised that Giant Haystacks and Big Daddy were keen fell runners wink

Walsh were pretty much the default choice up until Inov8 arrived.

Yeah I’ve just had inov8s since I came to the U.K. and before that lived abroad.

Nice to see a U.K. (made) company still around.

Cool retro style too.

I have, I think 4 pairs of the Norman Walsh VRipple which are not fell runners but v comfortable as daily casuals.
