Totally disagree, wales scored points pretty much every time they visited the red zone and put pressure on England who in turn made stupid mistakes. England shouldn’t have won and never really looked like winning it.
Agree with Boom. Not sure how anyone watching that game can think England should have won. If they had given away less pens then maybe, but they didn’t and that’s why they ultimately lost the game.
England lacked discipline and a friendly ref. Wales deserved to win.

Nobody could have thought England should have won that. Tonks has obviously been drinking since mid day.

You can argue the ref’s calls, but by the same token England were extremely lucky not to see a yellow or two.

England have become very predictable and one-dimensional. The rest of the world have figured it out. It’s a shame, but there is very poor leadership going on.

Ultimately, Wales have got to where they are in this competition by keeping their discipline. They’ve had plenty of poor moments but ultimately they’re proof that discipline wins games. They’re just feeding the opposition. AWJ is very good at crafting this.

I’m impressed by the new blood in the welsh back line. Lots of potential there; whereas with ENG it’s same names, same old.
Spot on!

I’m not going to say England should have won due to the penalty count but I will say that indiscipline can be a direct result of chasing a game. Something the ref had a clear hand in.

Eta

I thought Louis looked like he was ahead of the kick for Wales second but that wasn’t reviewed.

I’m guessing Tonker really meant “should have won” as in they had the opportunity and field positions to have done so. They had the momentum at around 60 minutes and any other England team from the last 12 odd years would have run it in for the win.
But indiscipline and at times frankly amateur mistakes mostly by the subs gave wales the opportunity to put the points on the board. The kicking was excellent by the way.

England looked really dangerous in attack at times but deserved to lose due to the lack of discipline. Some of the penalties they gave away were so poor.

The first try was very poor refereeing.

Lol. Were you the ref?

Wales were on the canvas at 24-24. England’s errors weren’t forced by Welsh play: they were stupid.

England win = victorious, best, world beaters, majestic etc

England lose = we lost it, ref decisions, nothing to do with other team being better, we gifted them, should have, could have etc

England lost because Wales were better in every facet of the game, simples

Cymru am byth!

Great win for Wales. The boys did well and played what was in front of them. Safe line-out, smart kicking, sensible with the ball and without it.
England were poor but we made them poor. There's a vivid complacency about them as a team. Like the pretty girl at the bar with a bad attitude that gets ignored because of it.

Pretty much this. If Wales, Scotland, Ireland loose it’s fair play you beat us let’s have a beer. Not so much if England loose / let the other side win.

Not at any point did England look like winning it or ‘on top’. They were 2nd best in every aspect of the game.

England didn’t lose it, Wales won it

Wales have been disciplined. They have understood the stricter refereeing stance and let their opposition fk up. All credit to them.

Doesn't make for inspiring play, but that's arguably fault of the governing body.

1st off well done Wales hurlweeping

I have to say that I don't think we deserved to win and I am glad that Wales won by more than the 2 disputed scores (that being said it could be argued that although they won by more the 2 scores those scores had us chasing which had a greater effect, but there you go) since that takes one excuse away.

Sadly I did say earlier in the week I could see us losing frown
