Some people are never satisfied! From 24-all Wales were sharper, calmer and better in every department, and worthy winners.
Indeed, I'll take a 40 point bonus point win over the 6N champions anytime. And I'll take a "hollow" triple criteria again next season of there's one going hehe

It isn't the sport. It's the silly social media stuff. twitter, whatsapp, Instagram, Facebook, they are all a waste of time.

Oh and Tik tok, don't forget tik tok.

A little Off topic but I’m much much more worried about a totally different and terrible awful thing that’s started to creep in and raise its ugly head in our great game....

... terrible terrible haircuts.

It appears at this stage that only rugby players are infected with this terrible curse?? It got so bad that Tom Francis had to have his bandaged over during the game on Saturday

The main problem with this team if Farrell.

He's too emotional and not as good as he thinks he is.

I don't think he's a natural leader and I've never understood his continued selection.

At this stage I think about 20% of all northern hem pros are impacted by this blight.

This online abuse of Sonja McLaughlan is pretty unpleasant.

Just a reporter doing her job. All the Interviews and questions sounded fine to me.

Some people need to step back and remember it’s just a game of rugby.

So far as I can see from reading the reports, she wasn't abused - she was criticised. Completely different I think.

While we are on this tack. Twitter is a load of junk, why do people post on it?

No question - if it's abuse.... "Toxic, embarrassing, disgraceful, appalling" hardly strikes me as abusive, or am I missing something?

She’s always been a mindless interviewer intent on the gotcha moment. Hardly surprising Farrell gave her short shrift and she should know by now sports fans can be a bit pernickety especially if they’ve just lost. She should’ve moved on once it became obvious he wasn’t going to bite. Alas she seems incapable of recognising such moments and just persists. I don’t have much sympathy for her if I’m completely honest

I wouldn't want anyone to be abused. First and foremost, that's unacceptable.

However, I thought her tone of question and attempts to goad both the English and Welsh camps into a headline worthy quote was risible. It was also stupidly unsubtle. You catch more flies with honey than vinegar.

Therefore you can understand people questioning her abilities as an interviewer and I certainly did to my friends on a WhatsApp group. I'd never @ her on Twitter though.

I only tune into rugby for things like the Six Nations. I had no idea who she was to have any prejudice.

Her interview technique and persistent questioning was uncomfortable. Like yourself I thought she was trying to goad a reaction and get a headline statement.

As I indicated yesterday, if the captains had been swapped, England would have won that with ease, I reckon.

Unfortunately, I can't think of a way that your assertion can be proven - or disproven.

I haven't really seen anything that could be classified as targeted abuse - more targeted criticism. I'm sure there was some unpleasantness, but that's par for the course if you use Twitter as a celeb (a whole different conversation).

The thought of Farrell captaining Wales just sent a cold shiver down my spine!

Leaving aside his abilities as a player, in my view, England should seriously consider relieving Farrell of the captaincy. Referee management is a critical part of captaincy and Farrell is hot-headed and his interactions with referees are unnecessarily aggressive and confrontational. Going back to the first try on Saturday (if I dare reopen that particular can of worms), was the referee obliged to do anything other than what he did in that situation? No. Could he have managed the situation more sympathetically [to England]? Absolutely. Referees are human and dealing with them in the manner which Farrell does is less likely to engender the kind of sympathetic refereeing that can help you in those sorts of situations.

Sam Warburton was an absolute master of dealing with referees and if Farrell is to continue as captain, he’d do well to study his manner and learn from it.

I’d suggest that Farrell’s chances of captaining the Lions are pretty close to zero at the moment, although who will is a whole other question that is probably for another day/thread!
