A bit of clarity regarding the game vs Japan - kick-off confirmed as 3pm and more importantly 16,500 spectators. So now the nervous wait to see if I am lucky enough to be selected.

Fingers crossed, watch the games on Monday and last night and it's nice to see fans back even in a limited capacity. Was all set for the SA tour, only got to wait another 12 years...... laughgetmecoat

Me too, really rate him as a player and character on the field. He was a massive loss for England in the world cup final.

Team v Japan announced:

Saracens players, Russell, Curry and Sinckler only arrived yesterday after finishing with their clubs at the weekend hence only a couple of them on the bench for this game. Hogg, Simmonds, LCD and Hill still involved in the premiership final this weekend.

That was only a small step up in excitement from England football.
I know it’s a friendly pactice match but it was like watching a training session.
Can’t imagine the South Africans are quaking!

It looked like a team of better players that hadn't played together before playing a well drilled team that knew each other well.

Defensively we left a lot of holes, and showed remarkably little attacking threat.

Its a loss I think for the touring party, not the test matches.
His leadership on tour would have been superb, one of those chaps you call "the ultimate team man" and the first bloke to lead the party out to face whatever music, anywhere. As a starter for Lock, though, Im not sure he was in either of the top two slots.
Competition is going to be utterly fierce for the test side in this squad.

Tadgh had an outstanding game. I thought Sinkler looked fired up when he came on. Dan B put in a classy performance at 10, Liam W looked to be much more like his old self. The Scottish Bok looked great going forwards, but looked like Kolbe will skin him alive going backwards! Josh Adams doing what Josh Adams does.

How crooked were the the put ins from the Japanese scrum half? One handed hooking it into the second row. Makes a mockery of the laws.

Nothing new. It’s been a joke for years.

Beard and Navidi called up for the injured AWJ & Tipuric.

Conor Murray named captain.

I did think that Lawes put in a good shift considering how much he's not played this year.

Much to work on still. Losing the second half 10-7 isn’t impressive. They really lost their focus.

Losing AWJ and Tipuric is too high a price to pay for a warm up match.

There were plenty of positives but even so.
