Best side on the day won.
Yep, even as a dyed-in-the-wool Somerset fan, happy to concede that. Our best work came in the remarkable turnaround in the semi. Almost like they burnt themselves out physically & mentally by saving that first game and the tank was empty for the final. That said, Kent batted, bowled & fielded better when it mattered (that Jordan Cox catch for example, incredible!) and well done to them. Somerset have had a decent season, blooded several really good youngsters and the future is bright.

Has anyone been watching IPL? The English players are not showing any class in the T20 competition, bit worrying for the World Cup coming up.
Whose currently playing in the IPL? I've only seen Morgan and Livingstone since the restart. I'm very interested in Tim Paine's insistence that the Ashes will still proceed regardless, and seemingly criticising Joe Root and the England team for not wanting to be separated from their families due to draconian coronavirus restrictions.

Jason Roy seems to be improving, at least, he's had one decent score. Livingstone, I agree, looks out of sorts, hope he can find his form again soon. Morgan likewise, but he hasn't been playing well all year. You can guarantee that he'll be out Caught after a few balls, making some horribly ugly mistimed shot... outnumbered said:

I think it's worse some of them aren't even making the starting 11. Haven't seen Buttler play but they've just shown him as having 5th highest strike rate, so he must be doing ok? (Minimum 100 balls faced and 7 matches).
I thought Buttler wasn't out there for the restart, what with family commitments.I know it's not summer or England as such, but it does affect England.

Really not very clever of Yorkshire.

No, very poor from YCCC (my team) all round - Vaughan has been very blunt about the allegations made against him I read tonight in the Telegraph. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/cricket/59169535

They should not have tried to bury this. I am surprised at the accusations levied at Vaughan though.
It's not looking great for Vaughan. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/cricket/59289673
This is a TV career ender if he isn't careful.

It's a shame, and I still struggle to believe he said it, but there is often no smoke without fire.
Vaughan's going to have to come up with some strong defence now I suspect, if he didn't say it/was taken out of context/whatever.Though I also suspect it might not matter in the slightest with the storm that this set of events all is now.
It would not surprise me in the slightest if it were a laddish culture that's been at play, and it would be very interesting to hear precisely what was being said to each other all ways, but it seems Ballance for one is still electing to keep quiet about that.
I'm not convinced we've heard the last about this at all.
Just seen that Essex are now getting dragged into it. Feels like a can of worms has been opened and this is becoming something that's going to be talked about for a while yet.
It would be interesting to hear what Root has to say on matters at Yorkshire, but I don't suppose he will say anything while the ECB investigation is ongoing - and if he did it would have to be as a PR exercise.
