You don’t see the Duke of Kent announcing that do you hehe
Maybe the Duke of York as hush money.
He wishes.

She’s clearly very talented but losing to someone even younger and less experienced must have quite galling.
I’m sure she will reach many more finals and win a fes of them.
I think more Raducanu v Fernandez matches will be box office from now on - Even though they have set their own competitive bar very high already...!

Depressing if predictable article on the BBC news last night which raved on and on about how much she was now worth as a marketable commodity.
The fact is it's true, but looking at her and hearing what she says, she seems to have good people around her who she can trust. Emma is a very intelligent young lady and despite her charm and infectious smile I don't think she'll suffer fools gladly.
She needs to keep those who just want to "Jump on the Raducanu money-train" in order to just make an income in any ruthless way possible, because they will be out there...

I so want to see her compete for many years at the top of women's tennis, but just look how wonderful she looks during her legthened stay in Manhatten, attending Met Gala 2021.. Hasn't seen her family and friends since before going to the US Open!
And she has the British awaiting her arrival home - Sure to be quite a reception..! The World is her Oyster...

Emma's finally back home with her family in London.. What an incredible 7 weeks she's had since she last saw them.. Left as an A-Level student and returns as Ladies US Open Champion 2021.. Quite a while before the Australian Open though guess she'll participate in a few tournaments before then....! Welcome home Emma smile

After her Wimbledon episode after being thrown in at the deep end or the sport and the media I'd say it's pretty clear she's been helped by a sports psychologist and had some media training which is perfectly normal. If that was the only obstacle in her way to achieving a grand slam win then that's great.

Some of the questions these presenters are asking her must feel like a broken record but I guess you just have to think about the £1.8m prize money and give a polite answer.
Not seen any of the interviews yet, but Emma's a savvy girl and will take it all in her stride... She'll probably see some of the questions as ridiculous, but won't show it in the answers she gives too them..

It looks like Emma is focussing on playing at Indian Wells in California next month, initially entering qualifying but may get offered a wild card for the main draw now she's number 23 in the world rankings.

She’s in a totally different league now, after a very rapid rise
She needs a new level of support as she’ll be regularly pitched against top 20 players.
Emma has been enjoying her tennis so far, from playing Nottingham, then facing her first real challenge at Wimbledon where she had to retire, through to winning the US Open - It's all been a rollercoaster of enjoyment in rapid-fire...
She goes into 2022 as World Number 23 and this is where it gets serious, where she'll learn more through loses, injuries, because there will be setbacks as there always is at the top level of sport.
I hope she'll win loads, smile lots and lose gracefully when that happens......

Really next season is critical. Raducanu needs to maintain a top 20 WTA ranking & if she does, she's definitely made it.
I agree, we'll learn so much more about her as a player next year - At the moment she is embracing the fame of her title win and you can't blame her for that... Looking forward to 2022... smile

Looks like it will be a while before Emma employs a longterm coach..
This is quite a mature approach to me.. Slowing things down a bit after her lightspeed success... so far..!

Didn't see the game, but that's a reality check for Emma.. Now she's a slam winner the emphasis along with expectations change, and yes there will be loses.. I think the 2022 season will tell us more of her capabilities long term and how she adapts to being at the top level of tennis....

Most would do the whole Uni thing after their sporting careers or if a long break ie raising a family.
She’s realistically got what... 12-15 years of pro tennis left to make her millions.
Then there's all the sponsorship money.. I believe Sharapova made loads more from sponsorship and commercial deals than she ever did at tennis..
