Honestly been thinking about betting on Noskova. The odds don't seem especially great for someone so lowly ranked.

I lost what little interest I had in Raducanu when she booted her coach as soon as she won a title. No way of knowing the full story but that level of loyalty is less than impressive.

You should perhaps read about the situation - it is very well documented about the situation at Wimbledon, post Wimbledon and up to the end of the US Open.

Just lost the 1st set 7-6 (7-4) in tie break. Emma took the 2 opening games, then it was hard fought to the end by the look of it..
Only watching text scoring..!

I missed lumping some money on Noskova at 5-1.

Raducanu is down a set. I expect her to pick up an injury and quit soon if the first few games don't go her way.

I didn't realise Noskova won the RG junior title last year so she is perhaps more on a momentum than her ranking and WC may indicate.

You think she fakes the injuries ?

There might be some pain but I think in the past she has used it as an out to quit when things weren't going as intended.

Emma doesn't quit - Has only withdrawn from a match when she's unfit to continue.....

Back to this evenings match - She's just won the decider 6-1 biggrin

Good on her, good win and long way to go but Linda Noskova isnt a walk over. She let's hope her body survive.

Fair enough, that's your opinion and i'm allowed mine.

Let's see what happens in 2rd or 3rd round (if she makes it) and if an injury suddenly comes on when she's down first set and losing 0-2 / 0 - 3 in second set.

You really think she fakes it don't you ?

Strange way of thinking about a good sportsperson.

It looks like coverage of the tournament on ITV4 has ceased...?!
The joint contract they had to broadcast alongside Eurosport expired after the final last year at which point the FTF (French Tennis Federation) confirmed they'd signed an exclusive deal with Discovery Eurosport to manage the majority of the European broadcasting licences until 2026. ITV felt the cost of accessing limited 3rd party content wasn't viable so in the UK it's now on Eurosport & Discovery+ streaming only (on a similar basis to Amazon prime).

There's still no confirmation as to whether Discovery may show highlights of the later rounds and / or live coverage of the Finals on Quest (like they do with some other sports).

When ?
Italian open against Bianca Andreescu when she was losing 6-2 2-1
Wimbledon against Ajla Tomljanovic after losing first set and down 3-0 in second set.
First round of the Guadalajara Open against Daria Saville. Emma failed to close out the second set to win the match.

Then we also have the blister excuses which get rolled out for losing. Almost every loss has an excuse rather than getting outplayed / outperformed on the court.
