I genuinely don't understand his intransigence.
Because Fury has someone in his ear telling him playing this game of hard ball will net him another $20m....I genuinely don't understand his intransigence.
But at least we are coming to the crunch point. Usyk knows that a match-up with Hrgovic will generate a fraction of the potential Fury purse. Warren won't let Dubois get in the way. Wilder is unlikely to want Usyk as he would earn a boat-load more going for Joshua as his cash-out fight (and it is a much easier fight). Andy Ruiz might be tempted but is that going to sell well in the US PPV market? So Usyk is accepting reality that it is best to fight Fury, even if it is for less than 50/50.
And Fury knows he doesn't really have any other higher earning options than Usyk.
I get why people dislike Fury and his ways at times but can't believe the amount of people writing him off against Usyk here. As someone already said yes fury hasn't fought someone like usyk before but usyk hasn't fought someone like fury either, and I feel like fury has enough in his box of tricks plus the size advantage to pull through it and adjust mid fight as necessary.
I'm not sure anyone is writing him off I've said before that I think other people believe in Fury more than he or his father actually do.
The fact is that this is Fury's first elite truly top level fight... Maybe the second due to Wilders impressive turn out on the last fight. It will be a hard night for both. Both aren't huge punchers it's almost guaranteed to be 12 rounds.
It's Fury's fight inside Usyk is a master at the step off and counter. I'm hoping with every fibre off my being that Usyk wins. He's a true fighter and I think the best of our generation.

At heavyweight how many elite fights has Usyk had? The fact is that this is Fury's first elite truly top level fight... Maybe the second due to Wilders impressive turn out on the last fight. It will be a hard night for both. Both aren't huge punchers it's almost guaranteed to be 12 rounds.

I can only think of AJ and I'm not sure he's actually as elite as we were all lead to believe, I firmly believe Fury would easily beat AJ too.

I'll be rooting for Usyk to beat Fury, I hope it's emphatic
He's the far better boxer and I hope (and think) that's enough to negate Fury's physical advantages, but we won't know until we see the fight.Whatever the result he's the far better human being. Love the guy's humility, skill, spirit and attitude. He's head and shoulders above Tyson Fury in my eyes, no question.
Sadly even as a fan of him I’ve had enough. Usyk has always shown real class in and out the ring and personality I’d love to see Usyk give fury a proper beating. Fury can retire and we can all forget him.
Sadly I do think fury’s physical attributes and his boxing brain will see him win. He will use his reach and jab to control Usyk and the moment Usyk tries to get in range fury will fall on and hold. Rinse and repeat for 12 rounds. I don’t believe Usyk has the power to stop fury (hell even wilder couldn’t do it and he is arguably one of the most powerful one punch heavyweights for a while)
Fight will probably never happen.
I saw a video response of Furys that popped up on my FB feed on a Fury fan site and most of the comments were slagging him off....this is his fans!
In the video he seems really nasty. I know there's a build up and usually fake "needle" has to be generated but "Gappy toothed Ugly bd"? Playground stuff.
Don't forget the Mental health PR Tyson! Massive Melt.

Fury posting a video saying he's started day 1 of training
Was that the one where he was blowing walking down the seafront? If I was Usyk I'd watch that and look forwards to a massive work rate come fight time.tuscaneer said:

I am sure it will happen.
I am also sure Fury will beat Usyk. I don't watch boxing for the character references, it's two people knocking st out of each other. That's it.
Not to be pedantic mate, but it's far FAR more than that....I am also sure Fury will beat Usyk. I don't watch boxing for the character references, it's two people knocking st out of each other. That's it.

Notice Yoka was beaten again, by the ageless brawler Carlos Takam.
I like Carlos Takam. Takes far too many punches but seems to have a concrete head.Gassing Station | Sports | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
