On these white collar bouts it is said that people are matched up fairly but can there be big differences on weights ? between 2 participants (I know it is grass roots boxing but weight classes are there for a reason).

No-one who knows boxing seriously believes Franklin has a chance??

The guy is a bum and couldn't even take Whyte out.

I don't even think Franklin has a puncher's chance in this.

Aj has only been stopped once in a freak result easily avenged.
Lost twice on points to a p4p great.

So, now he gets knocked out by anyone and everyone?

And when has he gassed?
He flagged at the end of the 2 usyk fights, which cost him the second, but against a bit of a freak, stamina / work rate wise, in usyk , who wouldn't?

AJ wins rounds 6 to 8 for me.
That wasn’t a freak result that was boxing, rewatch the fight, that was joshua coming up against an opponent who could box and Learn during the fight.

The first uppercut left hook that AJ loves to throw catches ruiz and drops him, the second time he does it Ruiz slips it, the third time he does it quiz slips and counters and turns the fight on its head. That wasn’t a freak result that was being beaten by a better technician and tactician in the night.

I wonder how DAZN would feel if he did retire!
Relieved they aren't committed to £20m a fight or whatever it is for 4 more fights to a guy who lost to Jermaine Franklin, I'd imagine
A lot of the money they are trying to raise is based on him being a marquee signing though

I looked at it and it seems to be 19.99 for the fight, showing on a dedicated sky or virgin chanel and that includes 1 month DAZN. I'm tempted but off out shorty so would likely miss the fight live anyways...I'm assuming you can access DAZN through the allocated virgin or sky channel for the month?
Dunno, I assume so

Another young man has died on an Ultra White Collar Boxing show. Very sad.Very sad.

We did the training for Ultra when they first came to the area and told them we would never do it again after seeing what a st show they run.
The pretence is that its a charity organisation raising money for Cancer Research UK but the reality is that its a very lucrative business that mis sells and is dangerous and after asking your family and friends to buy a ticket to watch h you you then also have to ask them to sponsor you as the ticket money has nothing to do with any charity.
How many people have been killed on Ultra events now? It's at least 4 I believe.
Fqing madness.
I saw this earlier I think Boxing is certainly something to be left to the professionals. Very sad for someone I guess was just looking to have a bit of fun and maybe improve fitness.

Not at all.

Just saying tonight will be easy work for AJ and this bout is not the slightest bit competitive despite some thinking it is.

Was quite enjoying that Wardley fight, I could see why the ref has stepped in as not throwing back but he didn't look out of the fight.

He got careless after early success.
Then got caught high up on his head which seemed to scramble his resistance for t he rest of the fight.
In the rematch he fought smart and won easily, fighting to his strengths and his opponents weaknesses.
If they fought 10 more times, Joshua wins exactly as per the rematch.

Ruiz wasn't the better technician.
He just landed a big punch when they were both swinging.
It could have been the other wY round.

Yeah that was an early stoppage I reckon but was he not defending himself? Experienced ref with the best view you have to trust their judgement. Wardley was clearly heading for a win either way. Wardley Clarke is a tasty prospect for sure. Wardley will need to tidy up quite a bit he was really over committing and future opponents will be looking to capitalise on that.

There’s the rub. AJ has shown how fragile his head is already. He’s got everything to lose. Unless he utterly destroys Franklin he’s still got loads of unanswered questions IMO.

Just popped a few pennies on AJ by KO in Round 2.

Watch it go the distance now...
