I've always liked the golf pride new decade multi-compounds. I got measured for 2/3 wraps but got midsize to keep everything quieter.
Separate news had my scratch knockout match today and was done in under 2 hours...
Somehow managed to play well, was +1 through 10, 8 up and as the 10th is near the clubhouse and we'd just caught a 4-ball the game was conceded. Only issue is my next game is new against a guy off +2....if I play like I did today I may just have a chance...
Great work! I had a match against a +3 last year, and managed to win on the last. He had to give me 11 shots and as soon as he made a few mistakes you could see his head go. You’ve got a great chance if you’re playing well.Separate news had my scratch knockout match today and was done in under 2 hours...

If your handicaps are accurate then you shouldn't fear anyone, regardless of what they play off. It's what handicaps are for!Separate news had my scratch knockout match today and was done in under 2 hours...

Cheers for the feedback folks - interesting to see the number of people playing Midsize! I found the below guide whilst having a mooch:
https://golfgrips-direct.com/guides/grip-size-guid...
Using the measurements there it recommends Standard grips with 3 layers of tape, which makes sense given I find my current ones slightly too thin and they only have 2 layers on them.
Also went Tour Velvet Full Cord as I was struggling with slippy grips in the rain and heatwaves last year.
And yes, they're being installed with the logos facing down, which the guy serving me was quite bemused by. He'd heard others ask for it but never thought to ask why, so had to admit - Yes, it's because of Tiger.
Not cheap though, £14 per grip....

Blimey, £14.00 I bought several hundred in white and red for £3.99 a grip several years back..all sealed in an airtight box.And yes, they're being installed with the logos facing down, which the guy serving me was quite bemused by. Always played Lamkin cross line cords but playing less now and my hands have 'softened'.
Logo's down, shaft stickers reversed for me too.. shove a off cut of coat hanger for the reminder..

That gives me standard +4 layers of tape.... just! Which I used to have before I went for midsize.https://golfgrips-direct.com/guides/grip-size-guid...

Much cheaper buying them online, but depends if you want to fit yourself or not

I'm going to Normandy next week with the family and have booked 3 rounds with my son playing at Omaha Beach Golf Club (both courses) and Barriere Saint Julien. Is there anything I need to know about playing in France or any sights I should see apart from the D-Day museums?
I was in Port Bessin in September last year (Clubless) where Omaha GC is, it looked ok and was a Parkland course. The other course I was interested in was Granville but its about an hour up the coast, it looked like a nice old school links and might play a bit drier.
Normandy is a great place to visit, have a drive down to Mont St Michel if you can, Honfleur is quite a nice little harbour spot with some good French authentic shops, but pricey.

Thanks, I did look at Granville GC but it is an hour and a half away which is a little too far since the OH would have to come with us as it is her company car we are using and I can't drive on my own abroad for some bizarre reason. We are planning a visit to Mont St Michel though.
MSM is a life bucket list trip. I recommend if the weathers good walking down and getting the bus back, it was only 1km and we did it feeling ropey with Covid (we hadn't realised we had caught while there lol)
I really like Normandy, Bayeux is a good town for a mosey around, see the tapestry and to get something to eat.
