Well despite the frankly unbelievable amounts of rain on Thursday/Friday/Saturday the course was in amazing condition yesterday.
First game for a few weeks so a bit rusty, and with a strong wind not my best round but enjoyable nonetheless!
All the rain and the decent temperatures have certainly done wonders for the overseeding and course maintenance.

Depending upon venue count me in as well.
Rye does look stunning, however Google suggests it's a 4 hour drive from leafy Staffordshire. Not saying no, just might take some planning
Rye is about 20/25 mins, but we would need an invite from Rosscow..Rye does look stunning, however Google suggests it's a 4 hour drive from leafy Staffordshire. Not saying no, just might take some planning

Had a pretty golf heavy week.
9 holes in glorious sun on Boxing Day, then 18 holes on Wednesday (dry but very windy), then 18 holes this morning, dry again but not quite as windy.
Driving the ball very well, and hit some lovely iron shots too. Greens are so quick and with that wind putting was very tough at times.
Good fun and nice to get out though!

No! Nowhere near, other things (working, weight loss, running!) taken over the last 6 months or so. HI now 9.2, so gone up slightly but not surprising as really haven’t practiced at all.
But! I have been swinging it better the last few weeks so looking forward to getting back into this year.
Also lost loads of weight this year (nearly 3 stone, down to 13 stone 6lb, so think that’s really going to help. Feel much stronger and fitter. Bring on 2024!
Edit! HI actually come down from 9.6 (02/01/23) to 9.2 today. So I suppose that’s a positive of sorts!
