So you can pick up a clear forward pass and run into someone now then?
My take on it too!

No way was that a yellow, let alone a red!

Apparently so. That’s a fking shocking miss by literally every official.
Aren’t they meant to be using “smart” balls that detect forward passes?

That's the end of any chance of a decent match.

Correct decision or not, he's off. England down to 14. Not that they would have won with 15, but they might have put up a good battle.

Why not?

If he has time to turn away, then he has time to drop his height and tackle.

Just because the bloke is fking woeful at tackling, that's not an excuse not to even try!

Only seen it in replay so don’t know if there was a whistle- looked like Freddie was trying to pull out of a tackle and the Irish fella has basically run/fallen into him - is that right?
Unfortunately the rules are if there’s head contact someone is walking - the only real debate is over if it’s red or yellow
Seemed harsh from the limited coverage i saw
Yellow at best

Irish player ducked his head down so surely there's the mitigation?

Well there's a surprise! Farrell aimlessly kicks the ball away, and now we've got a line-out 5 metres from our own line!

Anyone thinking he didn’t know what he was doing is naive in the extreme. Granted he didn’t hit him as hard as he could have. Why not make a tackle instead ? Brainless.

May as well send them all for an early bath unless the ref can find an excuse to dish out another red shortly. There's 29 players risking their safety out there now with sod all left to play for.

Let the Irish aerial bombardment begin
I’m guessing the newbie Arandell is covering 15 ?

That's proving to be utter drivel so far...

Didn’t see it live - had the whistle gone at this point ? If not I really don’t understand what FS was doing - shoulder check ??? If it had then he’s withdrawing from a tackle he doesn’t need to make ?

Ireland not showing any massive attacking intent either. Game has died a death.

I think it’s become quite compelling, in its own way.

Can’t be long before the Irish start getting a bit jumpy.

I agree. This isn't going to be pretty. England are hanging on by their finger nails.

England still in this because Ireland appear to be feeling some pressure, both from England and from the occasion.

It’s there for England now. Ireland haven’t turned up at all.
