One way to avoid another thumping…More seriously shows the state they are in if this comes to a head in the middle of the 6N.
I can pretty much guarantee that England will lose as will France (or come close) and whilst Ireland will win it'll be a very scrappy affair will the Irish really disappointing.
How can I guarantee this? Because I've stuff my 'dream team' with Irish, English and more French than Scots

Terrific effort and adventure from Italy - really a dramatic improvement from them this year. Ireland ultimately impose their quality and prevail, and remember a couple of disallowed tries.
Let’s hope the next game is as exciting and filled with endeavour - will be surprised though.
sort of - the 1st disallowed pretty much led to the 2nd try so can't really count that Let’s hope the next game is as exciting and filled with endeavour - will be surprised though.
The Italians were very good value today though. I can't remember the last time a team had 5 scored against them and you could say that that their defence was outstanding in their quarter

Farrell contributed nothing. Poor game management and missed 10 points. Smith has to start next game with Lawes as captain
should have been Smith against Italy with Fazlet on-hand to steady the ship (if needed). Smith against France will be a massive test - but then again there's nothing much to losea311 said:
I'm not a Farrell fan per se but his form for Saracens has been very good this season and was happy to see the Smith Farrell combo dropped finally. His kicking stats in the tournament are shocking, he's generally playing like someone with single figure caps not 90 odd. Lack of game management across the board yesterday I was convinced England were going to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory yesterday despite a very poor Wales offering next to nothing.
I knew that Fazlet had seemed to have misplaced his kicking boots - but under 50% is shocking The issue is that I don't think that he's ever really had 'game management' as an England capt (I still have nightmares about the stshow when we drew 36:36 against Scotland a few years back), add into that that he's petulant (in fairness not as bad as, for example, Biggar), seems to have an issue with tackle technique, isn't exactly the quickest player and suffers from a lack of imagination it does make me wonder. I also recall his look of disgust at Cip's match winning cross-field kick in SA a couple of years ago and he also didn't seem to be particularly happy with the decision to make Lawes capt for the Oz tour...I know on the plus side he gives absolutely everything (not something that's a given) and luminaries such as Sam Warbs highly rate him
