So much hatred, sports always bring out the worst in "fans".
There will always be a fair bit of that for sure, but I generally enjoy watching a player that is genuinely likable though. I have to like their personality/behaviour if you know what I mean. I can't stomach Novak Djokovic, even though he is a fantastic tennis player for example. In saying that, being totally single minded/arguably nasty actually makes you a winner though I guess to be fair. You have to believe that you're better than every one else I'd imagine.

Higgins did not deserve to win that, horrible bloke.
Really felt for Mark Allen, 62-0 up and lost
Fingers crossed he loses in the next round.
FWIW Allen isn't a decent guy either.Really felt for Mark Allen, 62-0 up and lost
Fingers crossed he loses in the next round.

I went to bed before the snooker finished.
Does this mean that the two fat, bald men won?

I'm losing patience with the O'Sullivan schtick I must admit. It was kind of fun before, to have a professional sportsperson saying how they don't really like the game they play and they didn't play well, despite annihilating their opponent 13-0 etc etc. But now it's just getting tiresome, if you don't enjoy the game, fk off, if you do, stop whining about it all the time.
And don't even get me started on his die hard 'fans' in the audience, squealing, shouting and clutching furiously at their penisies every time he bangs in a long red, left-handed.
Christ, calm down dear. And don't even get me started on his die hard 'fans' in the audience, squealing, shouting and clutching furiously at their penisies every time he bangs in a long red, left-handed.
I am unaware of the reasons behind people not liking Higgins - for me I'm always a fan of the 'old timers' in sports (especially snooker and darts) so I was very much hoping he'd win. I've not managed to watch much of the this year's tournament so far, but I was able to catch the final frames of this one, and very glad I saw it. Genuinely exciting stuff.
Great chance for someone on the Gilbert / Wilson / Higgins / Maguire side of the draw. I'd be happy to see any of them progress other than Higgins. Tough QF for Jak Jones against Trump but then before the qualifiers started I'm sure he would have considered going out in the QFs a good result so perhaps the pressures off.
