England = International stars.
Trinidad = mainly 3rd rate stars.
Just goes to show how a manager makes a difference.

Not really, the England team just about picks itself and they are the ones on the pitch who are kicking the ball around in a flattering 0-0 borefest.
Its not about players more to do with tactics,Beenflicker said at half time England are predictable, like has been said unless something changes we wont score if we play till midnight.
Where was Crouch's robot dance?
Nota great performance, though things did look up when Rooney came on and Lennon looked a threat down the right. When Gerrard got forward he showed what he could do. Owen ineffectual again, must be living on borrowed time.
Crouch was effective marked by a man the same height as him which nullified the main part of his game, his goal coming when he was up against the shorter T&T centre back.
Edit to say, the US commentators on ESPN apart from knowing nothing about football, were crowing about how poor England were and how disappointing they were all second half until the 83rd minute.
We've got 6 points, you've got none - stick that in your pipe and smoke it, Uncle Sam!
Edit again to say - we were all over them in the second half, and some of the final balls were decent. When Rooney came on he gave us a second threat up front which was what we had been lacking.

Hugely unimpressive performance by England.
*cough*
I don't really know a tremendous amount about the game of football, but from my meagre knowledge I can affirm that T&T had their arses handed to them today. OK, so England didn't put that many goals past them but T&T were completely overrun in the midfield.
Probably the most one-sided match of the competition so far.

And of course their boys did sooooo well against the Czechs.
The fact is, when England were up against it with 20 minutes to go, they pulled their fingers out and got a result.
Rooney came through unscathed and looked good in spite of his lay off, and Lennon was quite impressive.
Beckham's delivery was iffy for the most part, until it counted and Lampard could / should have had 2 or 3.
Owen's getting chances and only needs a goal to kick-start him.
Crouch could be the player we've needed since Shearer retired from internationals, a good old-fashioned Centre-forward for Beckham to ping crosses in to.
They've qualified and don't need a result against Sweden, which with our record against them is a good thing
