Bayern Munich want Man Utd to cough up £20M for Hargreaves. Any thoughts united fans?

£20M!??! for a midfielder who was a figure of fun a few months ago? If they pay this then its concrete proof that theres more money than sense washing about the premiership. How much did the Man utd team cost already? They still managed to lose to Celtic for heavens sake.

A figure of fun only to a section of fans, however large, who were misled by circumstance.

Or..
it's concrete proof that if you play a footballer out of position in his International side it can pretty effectively hide his worth from anyone who doesn't take the time to watch him in his club side.

20 MILLION!!eek,i wouldnt give 2 million for him.

That's a bit unfair. Hes probably worth at least 10M, but 20M sounds a bit steep.

Probably but ide like to see him in the Premiership playing week in week out,i will admit at warming to him in the world cup.

I think you're getting mixed up. It's Jenas who is useless. yes

Not getting mixed up at all, I honestly think Dyer is a useless whining waste of space.

Yeah, i agree with you. Just didn't want a flaming from _deejay_ paperbag

But then again, I got in trouble for saying Peter Crouch was crap, so what do I know? rolleyes

I'm not going to flame anyone - everyone is entitled to their opinion, and you've heard mine.
However, if he manages to get over his injury woes then we'll finally get an opportunity for you/Stacey to prove me wrong!

Whilst we're at it - StaceyB and LightningGhost. It looks like Dyer is returning to full fitness. Do you still think he's not fit to wear the toon shirt?

No, I'll withdraw my comments about him. He's done very well. Good on the lad. I still wouldn't give him an England shirt, though.

Now Jenas. He is terrible. yes

My personal favourite has to be the Ronaldo / Shevchenko swap story

The Daily Mirror reckons that Aston Villa are now the front-runners in the increasingly hectic chase for Ashley Young and are 'also set to win the race to take Shaun Wright-Phillips on loan from Chelsea'.

Randy Lerner has reputedly handed Martin O'Neill £20m to spend this January, enabling Villa to leapfrog the likes of Tottenham and Liverpool in the hunt to sign the £10m-rated Young.

As for SWP, who must have featured in every Transfer Gossip round-up published since January 1 2006, it still seems unlikely that he would be willing to leave Stamford Bridge on loan. The player still believes he has a future in West London - especially if Jose Mourinho departs this summer.

Watford won't be getting rid of Ashley Young easily - Aidy Boothroyd won't sell him to any old club which would leave him on the bench.

Hence why Villa are favourites hehe

Price tag is apparently around the £8m-£10m range at the moment.

The Tottenham 2 players plus cash move is falling apart because neither of the players are too keen to join Watford

And yes, he really is something special, will be sad if he leaves cry

I think everyone will have to go a long way to make a better signing than Larson for Man Utd during the window.

Can only be a good thing!!

Whats more concerning is Roeders penchant for praising Peter Crouch at the moment...

I really don't think United should be looking to get rid of any players during this transfer window because if we are gonna win the Premiership we are going to need EVERY single player we have, and then some. Strength in depth this season.
