Gonna miss it tonight as I have slightly more pressing engagements but I'm sure the gospel that is the Sun and SSN will keep me informed tomorrow!Well, interesting viewing. Kevin Bond departed Portsmouth in the summer, Craig Allardyce ceases acting as an agent during the summer. Sacrificial lambs to the beeb perhaps, only it doesn't look like that's been enough for Panorama. Will be intersting to see what the FA have to say about this in the near future. Just think if Big Sam had been given the England job!!.
Its a pity they didn't name the 19 managers the reckon agents have given bungs too, but then I guess thats were it crosses the line into libel, as opposed to filming managers actually talking of them or engaging in tapping up. I think thats what most people will now want to know! The FA will surely have to have an official and rather public inquiry?
Certainly does make you wonder if Steve McLaren sponsored the program in the hope it would have gone out just before the new England manager was announced
And they reckon an agent or agency flying a manager out to view a player is wrong? At what point does it become wrong? A huge amount of big business is done on such sweeteners in eveyr industry so its hardly ground-breaking that it happens in footie! Is that not what Keano's rant about the Prawn Sandwhich Brigade was aimed at?

Well, here's a prediction for you. The FA, after a thorough and far reaching investigation, will decide that both Sam and Harry have no hard case to answer and can continue on as normal. Harry will retain his position, Sam is more in the balance depending very much on the position that Phil Gartside wants to take.
Look, you only have to have a passing knowledge of Premiership football business to have the dodgy alarms go off. Managers with shareholdings in agencies. Managers family directly employed by agencies. A Toothless guardian of the game in the FA that has no interest in cleaning the stables - they have an immensely valuable product, why would you want to publicly destroy your own brand?, especially with commitments as big as Wembley to fund. Keep the money rolling in, keep the broadcasters and sponsors investing and there's plenty of petty cash to grease the wheels. A players union that recognises the best interests of its members is in a wealthy environment so no boat rocking from that direction, no matter how many players are complicit in tapping up etc. All in all, as nice a little set up as you could probably have.
