If Harper hadn't slipped that was an easy catch.

And whens Obafemi gonna show he's worth 10 million? He was anonymous last night while a half fit Ameobi with a didgy hip did all the work up front!

His vision and kicking ability is phenomenal..(sp)

"There's only one Xabi Alonso" Chanted from the whole stadium.. cloud9

Lets hope he can do the same on sat against Spurs.. I'll be there.

Agree partially about the slip - I think the quality of the strike caused harper to scramble to try to get there - the second youtube file shows a good angle on it, with Harper having to turn and backtrack, and he seemed to be struggling almost from the moment the ball left Alonso's feet.

Goalkeeping "howler" as far as I am concerned.

Not as funny as Westervelds howler against Everton, and Don Hutchinsons back!

Anyone else see the Oldham goal yesterday? A full 20 yards further out than Xabi Alonso's!

I think Xabi is probably the most successful import over the last few years. He's been awesome. I think Liverpool may be pressured into selling him back to one of the big Spanish sides within a couple of years.

Might be hard as he is Basque player and refuse to play for Madrid/Barca/Valencia. Only team he would return is Real Socidad and they probably couldn't afford him.

IIRC he was on Real's shopping list.

Sure did, I was there. Although it has to be said, there was a severe case of dodgy keeping going on there. biglaugh
