Aaah.. A bitter jock... Scotland a goal down.. I never laughed, because I'm not concerned by other nations results.

I meant the goalkeepers stunning kick away from goal from Nevilles pass back. Although Scottish, I'm more than happy for England to do well because I am also British

I said from the moment the FA chose him that Macboring wouldn't be any good. Sven MK2.

I'm beginning to think we'd be better off not qualifying so the FA have a reason to get rid of him.

At least when they employed McClaren the FA knew what they were getting - more of the same.

I must admit I was slightly suspicious that the new guy would be as bad as the one he replaced when his first act as England manager was to appoint Max Clifford to represent him. rolleyes

idea Lets try out that new 5-3-2 formation that none of the players are used to. Dont waste a friendly - try it in potentially the toughest game we face in qualification. And give the job of right wing back to a slow defensive player who cant run or cross the ball. banghead

Terry venables should have the job. At least he has a bit of passion, and some balls... I thought Mclaren might make some wholesale changes, but he seems a little weak.

El Tel is the best manager since Bobby Robson - in fact he's probably the only decent manager since BR!

you guys may well be right - but for me it is the players who are useless.

none of the England players sparkled tonight - I would get rid of the lot of them - they are useless, very overpaid and only there for the money

Ashley Cole gets injured.. commentator commends him on not going off and leaving us one man down for the set piece.. in the resulting sequence of play, his lack mobility meant he allowed the Brazilian (?) striker to attack the ball whilst he didn't get off the ground.. 1-0!

The second goal was just sheer incompetence.. first Robbo should have repaired the divot, second Gary Neville should have played the goal wide of the goal.. school boy errors.. 2-0!

As for McClaren, still early days and the wing back formation he was trying got Sir Bobby to a world cup semi-final, when he changed the formation mid tournament.. the current players are over paid, over rated, primadonnas!!

Oh and before everyone gets too carried away hanging the management.. Croatia have never lost a home qualifier!!!!!...... and apparently Ashley Cole told the bench that he was ok to carry on.. what a dickhead!!!

Yup.. No passion. I'd like to see an overhaul, and bring in younger, more passionate players. Seem to have a few too many old boys! (I wonder if it's worth bringing back beckham??)

Hmmmm..... the pundits are slagging off the formation, but not one has mentioned the loss of Owen Hargreaves who has been our best player of late... his absense must have unsettled the midfield and exposed the defence.
