Although these guys are paid alot of money, you cant envy the amount of stress in coaching teams at a high level.

Most of us are looking to retire around or before that age. Similar story for many football managers too I guess.

Was watching the Ireland vs Pakistan game...after ireland won and were celebrating on the pitch the director cut to the stands and there was Bob Woolmer by himself putting his laptop in his bag, packing up for the last time.....how poignant

It wouldn't have been the last time either, Pakistan still have one more match to play in the World Cup.

According to news reports at the time, after they lost, people were calling for his death and Inzaman to resign... .. whilst the Bangladesh fans ignored a curfew and celebrated in the streets

Woolmer publically stated that he saw nothing wron g with ball tamperings, and is linked to both Pakistan and South Africa who were both accused of it... as were Warwickshire IIRC.

No, it's not... it may once have been that way, but the things people will do to win are astonishing. Bowlers like to see batsmen get hurt, but it's the psychological aspects that play a big factor on the field.
