Here's a seating plan. It's also worth checking when buying tickets in future and paying by cards how much of a surcharge is added. Apparently they charge £3 extra per ticket for Credit cards yet nothing for Debit cards. confused

I'm going on the 25th May for the Championship Playoff final, it'll be my 1st time at the new venue. Also we're going in a minibus, where's the best place to park the fecker? Wembley parking is something like £25!
If you're going in a minibus then £25 is less than two quid each at best isn't it??? The couple of times I've been there I've parked a minibus at the ground - so much less hassle, and it hasn't been that much of a fag getting in and out either (although admittedly both times were for crowds around the 45k mark), especially if you can avoid the North Circular as much as possible.

We're seriously considering parking the mini-bus up somewhere like Uxbridge, although with 15 of it would be cheaper to get a parking space near the ground than get the tube, but it could be more convenient to just tube it in.
Interesting to hear a different point of view, its something we're still debating.

Did you use the official £25 parking? Did you book in advance?

Cheers.

Yep, booked in advance - you have to, they don't let you turn up and pay on the day. You can do it all on line, and they send you one of those tags to hang off your mirror like you have on a ferry. You won't get in unless you have one.

I think it's the Green car park, it should be easy enough to find on line, and you'll be in with all the coaches. As a thought - say you park in Uxbridge and travel in via bus/tube/taxi/whatever, do you think what you'll all pay collectively on transport in will be less than your £25 to park at the Stadium?

Well we've gone against everyones advice (other than Anthony of course) and decided to book parking, £25 for a minibus is pretty damn cheap when its split 10+ ways.

We always drive into Wembley and turn left at ikea, follow the road towards the stadium, you can always park somewhere around there for about £20.

I would never go on the tube again to Wembley it takes a good hour to walk from the ground to the tube after the match, and it's only about 500 yards away

For the league cup final I had top price ticket and for the FA Cup semi I had the lowest price ticket and yes the cheap ticket was the better view. Be warned, food & drink inside the stadium is expensive (for what you get).

Personally I hate the new Wembley, but then having been the last two years only to see my beloved Cambridge United get beaten on both occasions, it's hardly surprising.

The view's not bad though, if you're lucky enough for your team to have bothered turning up. rolleyes Atmosphere leaves a bit to be desired though, even when I watched England v Germany there it felt more like a library, with noise retention porr, in my opinion.

Anyway, enough of my moping. Congratulations to Torquay, Gillingham, Shorpe and Burnley.

With ref to Atmosphere, I think they should allow standing behind the goals. With today's technology it wouldn't be hard to monitor numbers going into sections, then all the initial singers that get the crowd going can be in one area.

When we went there last year for the Conf play-off final against Cambridge, the club reserved a couple of blocks behind the goal for the singers, so that they weren't scattered about the place as they had been the previous year.

I went for the £62 seats, behind the goals, 14 rows back, wow what a view. IMO the new Wembley is stunning, it sent a shiver down my spine when I walked out into the crowd and saw it for the 1st time, mind blowing.

I thought the atmosphere was brilliant, but I think this is down to the fact that the stadium was full, 80,500 for the championship playoff final, maybe you guys who are saying it was like a library were with a more reserved bunch of fans, the Burnley and Sheffield Utd lot certainly weren't with so much at stake! I thought it was electric, both sets of fans clearly singing their hearts out, myself included!

Also I had friends sat up in the top tier and they were happy with the view, you get to see the match from a different perspective, but I personally just prefer to be closer to the action.

Obviously my positive experience of the day was helped by the fact that my team won.

Up the Clarets! Now the real hard work begins....

But surely the real question is how did you get on with parking at the ground!

I parked at one of the official wembley car parks last year. Close to ground, secure, however cost £25 and took forever to get back home

Thats what we did but it all pales into insignificance after the result! If I was to do it again I would have parked on one of the industrial estate places near to the ground, still about a miles walk but away from the main car park at least.

Even so, the M1 was a nightmare, both Burnley asnd Sheffield lot heading in the same direction, the police even closed a service station entry slip road because it was too busy. We were at services just north of Luton and it was 9pm, after dropping someone off in Manchester we were back for 1am. The Utd fans were looking exceptionally glum on the way home, the poor bds!
