Well a new year and BT are still showing the UFC.
That was the good news. The bad news... a fairly poor main card, with a fighter who can't seem to stop controversy, a bad early stoppage and a bad miss-match. For once a ladies match was the stand-out for me.
Prelims were better. But just happy that I can still see the fights on BT Sport..

'Cowboy' is good value, as ever. Totally schooled the young guy.
I'm in two minds about the main event stoppage. Dillishaw had taken, and was still taking, heavy shots to the head. His grab for Cejudo's legs whilst still on the floor was kind of 'defending himself', but I'm not sure it was going to stop the ground and pound.
Isreal was disappointingly passive, but then he was being outskilled in the grappling.
Agreed the ladies match was good. A lot more skill being shown on the ground that the usual ladies fights.

I really enjoyed the whole card, especially the prelims, was great to see Jo Calderwood win again, she's one of my favourite people let alone fighters. Cerrone was phenomenal, amazing performance, really happy for him. I thought the TJ stoppage was a little early but i think it would have been over in another 10 seconds or so anyway

One other thought. With PVZ Vs Ostovich fighting, it could have been regarded as foxy boxing (neither are ugly to my eyes), but it went so far beyond that. Watched it again, it's a cracking fight.
It was a superb fight, Ostovich's hands into wrestling were superb and then the ground work from both fighters was excellent, really enjoyed itBRR said:

I'm kicking myself as I was thinking of going but had a prior engagement. That's now fallen through and I'm free March 16th. Problem is tickets are sold out unless you use ticket traders who just inflate the already high prices! Card looks good too, some great Brit fighters taking part. Almost tempted to pay the stupid prices as I've never been to a live UFC event!

The UK never gets good fights. Have they ever done a title fight at UFC london?
wouldn't be worth their time would it? PPV rates and the like? What is needed, is the situation like the WWF in the early 90s, where american market tanks and the Euro market keeps it afloat. Then you'd get the good stuff in the UK.
