Why doesn't MVP go to the UFC and fight someone good? See how long his cocky act lasts for.

Great weekend for MMA fans.

Watched Marc Diakiese pick up a win in Copenhagen (UFC) - I've trained BJJ with Marc once before, absolute beast.
Jack Shore made a successful transition from Cage Warrors and won his UFC debut impressibely (now 12 and 0!)

Cage Warrios in Liverpool had some decent scraps, although the main event saw Tom Aspinal dominate his opponent (guy is scary fast for a heavyweight!), really want to see him up against a decent opponent now.

Rounded off with some quality match ups at ADCC in Anaheim (olympics of grappling for anyone wondering).

Bit of a disappointing main event and also a bit surprised with some of the tactics.

I agree I am surprised at Whittaker just racing forward in straight lines. More surprised that he had no Plan B

Izzy is a classy striker though.

Do we still have to do spoilers? When do we draw the line, it was Sunday morning.

Whittaker didn't even attempt to take him down. Even after being knocked to the ground at the end of Round 1 he came out swinging rather than trying to take him down and lie on Israel and recover for a round. He was never going to win a striking battle due to his range and wild haymakers which he was throwing

Overall a good card. Something technical, some slobber-knockers and some strange. I'd agree the looser of the main event looked really strangely one dimensional. I also expected more out of the co-main loser....

I'd put money on the title holder rearranging the butch Ricky Martin's face....

McGregor back in January. No idea who his next opponent is but would be ridiculously unfair if he gets Khabib or the #2.

He's said he wants to face the winner of the Khabib fight after this fight.

Overrated overhyped clown. Master of self promotion though, I doubt any other fighter has made so much with such a deficit in their game

It will be disgusting if he gets Khabib before Ferguson.

I see Dos Santos has pulled out of his fight with Volkanovski...replaced by Greg Hardy!

He was the UFC flavour of the month. They had Rousey and she flopped, McGregor next and he looked clueless whenever it went to the ground.

You'd think after the Mayweather fight he'd have made enough to leave the fight game behind. No payday is ever going to match that one again.

Do you think McGregor's wins against Holloway, Poirier, Aldo, Diaz and Alverez were just lucky?

I think.he is an excellent fighter, just not an elite one...and nowhere near as good as his fevered imagination told him...or his sycophants

Aldo - come on....that was pretty fortunate to get a KO on the first punch.
Diaz - did he really win the second?

I didn't call him lucky. He's just majorly flawed for an MMA fighter.
