Don't we always get the crap fights?

A few british fighters but never any top fights on the card.
Lando Vannata vs Yancy Mendeiros will be good.

The rest of the card; I know what you mean.

I think a lot of fighters don't like coming across the Atlantic.

Who?

The headline is Tyron Woodley and Leon Edwards. That could be interesting but never a big title fight at the UFC London.

These fighters will go where they're paid. If they are willing to go to Saudi Arabia and Asia they should be putting on some good fights in London.

Yeah, they're not on the card are they! That fight is previous Fight Night in February, sorry. That will be a good fight though.

I don't believe the big names do just go where they are told. Particularly if neither side of the match up want to fight outside of the US.

The UFC is an employer and the fighters are contractors. Either you do what your boss asks you to do or you hear about it.

Maybe when you are at the very top you get a bit more bargaining leverage over who you fight and where.

Tyron Woodley said on social media a while ago that there is no way he would fight in London. He's the 5 time world champion and he wants to fight in America.........but now he's fighting Leon Edwards in London!

Seems like there was a bit of controversy last night about judges not even watching the fights properly.

One of the judges on the Jones v Reyes was obviously otherwise occupied,, but three of the main card bouts that went the distance were the kind of fights you could score either way, so room for disagreement.

To be fair the 3rd round was a tight one, I think if you want to beat Jones on points you're going to have to beat him for all 5 rounds.

IMO the judge who scored the Jones v Reyes 49 - 46, should not judge an MMA fight again.

+1 just watched it

I had Reyes winning the first 3 rounds but can see why they gave 1 to Jones

Jones winning 4 is absurd

I'd just watched UFC on ESPN 7 - Main Fight Overeem v Roszenstruik 08th Dec 2019

Another shocking round of scoring in the Bantamweight fight - Stamman v Yadong, these judges need to learn/understand that MMA is different to boxing or get ex fighters to judge fights.

What do you guys think of Diego Sanchez's decision to win by DQ?

I know he's always been as tough as they come, but it just seemed like he knew he wasn't going to win and took the easy way out. Even the doctor said he was fine to continue, but he questioned if it would be a DQ and took it.

Can't say I blame him to take the win money.

Just because the doctor said he can continue doesn't mean he hadn't taken damage.

As Zarco says, he's fighting for the money.

I'm sure he could have fought on, but he was looking at 27-30 loss so he decided to take the cash.

I'm sure that Sanchez also said that he couldn't see or had blurred vision to the doctor who relayed it back to the referee.
