Juts watched co-main and main.

What a great fight the main was!

Wanted Moreno to win, but can’t argue the result

I just watched UFC 256 and it didn't disappoint, but I don't get how Ferguson & Oliveira wasn't scheduled for a 5 round fight (2 fighters in the top 10 in potentially a title eliminator fight).
I think Moreno lost the 5th round 10-8 making it a draw in 2 of the judges eyes, I personally thought Moreno won by a point, but no complaints seeing as there is a real chance of a rematch.
To think B.Moreno was on the prelim card and M.Perry was on the main card at UFC 255 confused.

Moreno looked too much like Ferris Bueller for my liking... Great fight, although you don't have too many of those in your life and walk away healthy.

Then Hooper in the early prelims doing his thing whilst looking too much like Jesse Eisenberg...

Tecia Torres looked great. Cub Swanson looked mean AF. Holland's Verbal Kint, sorry I mean verbal feint. Plus other stuff I've forgotten.

Great card all in.

Main event was absolutely spectacular last night. 13 all-time fight stat records broken including 400+ significant strikes landed by the winner. Unreal.

Agreed, an incredible performance.

Watch the heavies on the undercard. What a brawl

Agree on both points. Special mention to the toughness of the loser though in the main event. Just hope there's been no long term damage from the relentless strikes.

Had to replay the moment when he shouted at the commentators during fight about 10 ten times, unreal.

Before the event, the pundits/commentators had all been saying Kater had the best boxing in the UFC. laugh

I guess he was just stressing the point that they may have been mistaken. biggrin

A ridiculously tough human being, surely a case to be made that the corner or ref should have stopped the fight in the later rounds on humanitarian grounds!!

It was the 'no look' right hand straight on to his chin as he was saying it that amazed me!

I didn't see the prelims, but the main card (all 5 fights) was very enjoyable.
Dana must of had a headache trying to pick knockout of the night.

Agreed, although I'm not sure what Buckley was trying to do when he ducked into that kick.

Enjoying all the build up to 257

Presser is good. Enjoying seeing a more measured and polite Conor. Dustin is a good guy, and seems pretty thoughtful.

Gonna be a good card I think!

Yeah I much prefer the casual, friendly press conferences.

It's weird though I remember the early promo stuff for this McGregor / Cormier rematch and it seemed like it was promoting it as a kinda grudge match and showing animosity between them.. But now seeing the press con they both seem really amicable.

Probably gonna stay up and watch it, ESPN is on our Kodi Firestick (sorry Dana laugh)

Will be interesting to see what the PPV numbers are like. I detest fake animosity to sell tickets so if this one does well it will expose a myth. However Conor’s stock is definitely lower than it was, which might be a factor.

Does it being in Dubai help any bit on the watching times for us on this side of the world ?

I have BT Via virgin, in the Sky days I used to order and it would record and I'd watch next morning

Last time I ordered it didn't record and they repeat it every 3 hours was a right PITA, not sure I'll bother this time

Looks like McGregor is pencilled in for 05:15 - so the answer is no if you're in UK.
