Surprised to see Du Plessis walk through Whittaker like that.
I thought Dricus had a good chance and considered putting some money on him. I've always found Whittaker a bit underwhelming. Although he did step it up against Israel in their second meeting.

I've slept on Du Plessis tbh.

As posted upthread, great card, one of the best in a long time.

Moreno must hate the sight of Pantoja.

McGregor now one fight from 8 losses on Ultimate Fighter show. Won't be his, or his coaching teams fault though, will it? smile

He did pick the team but it's unlikely a fighter is going to greatly improve much in that time.

Who knows how much effort the coaches really put in when the cameras are off.

A nice comeback fight for Aspinall. He's got it all: good movement, power, wrestling.

The only problem is that he's not had to overcome adversity and had any tough fights in the UFC. The other problem is Sergey Pavlovich who is a very similar fighter to Tom.

If the injury didn't happen last year then Tom would be in line for a title fight and Pavlovich would be further back in the queue.

Paul Craig. That is all. He'll do damage at middleweight

I am not convinced yet, he is in danger of being a bit of a one trick pony for me - it's a very risky approach fighting off your back more often than not.

To an extent I agree, yet he is clearly massive at the weight and that guy was a pretty decent scalp for a debut. He looked more aggressive and ended with strikes rather than a sub. I think the likes of Adesanya are a level above him but he's gonna be a stubborn top ten guy if he cements a few more wins.

Yes it will be certainly interesting to follow his progress. I am a BJJ man myself so I am keen for him to do well.

The Good Fight Club showing on Sky is a pretty good fly on the wall documentary about a small, local MMA club and its fighters, worth a watch.

Another good card.

Great finish from Gaethje. Surely has to be a trilogy fight now.

Nice to see old man Ferguson get another tick in the win column.

Big Derrick? What a guy! Can you imagine being the scrote he caught trying to steal his Aventador? biggrin

Tony got beat, submitted if memory serves? Was a very good card though, even the prelims

I had never noticed until this fight, Poirier constantly adjusts his shorts, pulling them up at the front, it looked plain odd and was really distracting, wasn't sure if it was some mind game or nervous tick.

Got to say that seeing Derrick Lewis come out with a flying knee and land it was one of the most hilarious things i've seen in UFC recently.

Really good fight on latest episode of Ultimate Fighter series, old school stand and bang.
