Yancy Maderios pulling out a win after an absolute war was awesome to watch too
I can't think of anyone in the world id rather fight less than Ngannou (sp), seriously scary man
Fantastic fight. Definitely worth hunting out if you skipped the prelims.I can't think of anyone in the world id rather fight less than Ngannou (sp), seriously scary man
And I agree entirely about the big man.
Apparently Francis v Stipe (I won’t attempt either surname) could be as soon as UFC 220, think I heard that on the MMA hour but might of been a different podcast.
Alvarez v Gaethje was entertaining. Eddie looked good but it’s hard to look bad when the guy you’re fighting just lets you hit him :hehe.
Bisping didn’t sound too sure he’d be fighting again on BYM this week.
He said something like “I probably will fight again but it’ll just be like a farewell fight if I do”. He didn’t sound certain like he has previously.
Two great featherweight fights.
Shows the diversity in MMA at the moment; one a kickboxer simply annihilating his opponent (as a pretender, it was a joy to watch), the second somebody getting their jits on in impressive style (even a heathen like me could appreciate it).
First fight on the main card is worth a watch as well. Sped through the prelims, so if I missed anything (I don't think I did), let me know

It's gone very quiet here.... Which seems to me to be a bit of a reflection in the sport. It's all 'superfights' or nothing according to uncle Dana.
Some real names taking their final bow - Vitor, Bisping, Mike Pyle, (probably GSP).... Sure there are more.
Throw into that the continued issue with weight cutting, non-standardised rules and the Reebok contract. I can't see the sport growing again any time soon without a serious star coming through.

I've always fancied going to see a live UFC event. The Darren Till v Wonderboy in Liverpool on may bank holiday weekend may actually be feasible. Hotel prices nearby aren't too expensive and if tickets prices aren't ridiculous I might try and go. Would be on my own though as missus hates combat sports and none of my mates are MMA fans. Anyone been to a UFC show? Is it worth it live or better on TV? Atmosphere in Liverpool would be good I reckon.

Now, a really interesting fight is happening soon - Kabib Vs Tony. I really want Tony to win, but I think Kabib will take him. Then, what to do with Mcgregor - the man has never defended a belt I believe?
Be interesting to see if Khabib will walk through Ferguson’s striking. And if he has his cut and conditioning under control now (they all seem to believe he has). I guess McGregor would rather defend against Tony, but I’m not sure we’ll see McGregor in the Octagon again anyway. Now, a really interesting fight is happening soon - Kabib Vs Tony.
